the impact of the nails into his hand and arm were enough to stop Vaughan from tearing Caine apart, instead gritting his teeth to hide the howl that escape him. It angered him beyond belief but more so when he looked past sauri to see Kenshu take after Caine. as though he couldnt feel anymore pain again his heart broke, seeming to soften the harshness of his fury, boiling deeper within. While sauri shouted at them both he was arrogant in ignoring her. he was nowhere near ready to think of forgiveness and his mind so fogged by grief that she had not moved from his view of responsibility.
Suddenly his attention changed as Ajax freed him from the nail that tore into his flesh, a look of estinguished anger turned simply to that of exhaustion. Though reluctant to walk beside Ajax he obliged, giving at least a few minutes grace for him to speak his mind. there was some respect for the leader intouch though Vaughans alliances's had become a grey area to say the least

slowing when kenshu stood before him he looked around at the scene, becoming very much aware of the people present, the fact that his brother had just aired their argument for all to see. It made him feel just a little worse to know that people would know the family argument which followed Romals death. Looking back to Kenshu he tried to keep himself together though struggling.
'Kenny...i cant keep doing this' he murmered as he tucked his hands into the pockets of his jeans to subdue the shaking. though he didnt take her hand he stepped into line beside her, wanting to get room from his brother and calm down

He walked beside Vaughan in silence for a long time, they moved off of the building site but they did not go far, he didn't want to say anything until he understood that Vaughan was calm and not about to do anything silly that would change things drastically between the two of them. Vaughan being the only one of the brothers to actually ever be honest with him.
"What ever hatred, hurt and blame that you feel for your brother. You let go of it Vaughan. It will destroy everything you have otherwise"

"Yes we know" she frowned watching his hands as they slid back into his pockets where she couldn't touch them. The feeling of Vaughan's eyes upon her and his reaction to her choosing to go with Caine made her eyes water and her head spin but she had no choice. She couldn't go to him, he was getting by without her she didn't want to hurt him worse by taking advantage of his weakness in pain.
She took Caine's arm and led him away to a small pile of bricks so he could sit down and she could look at his cuts and scrapes.
"Don't fight anymore... please Caine"

he wondered what Ajax would say as they walked away from the building area, his arm aching though it healed quickly. he dusted off his clothes as he walked, calming more as his brother placed distance between them. at last as they stopped and Ajax spoke he heaved a sigh, not exactly sure of what to say.
"Jax...ive got little left, Romal and i were close" he argues though with a neutral tone of voice. he shook his head and sighed, still a little revved up from fighting
"look i wont bring it here again, hell ill stay away from Caine but when it comes to grieving over my brother, you need to know where the line is Ajax" he warned

He allowed Kenshu to lead him off and when it came to it, he sat down on the bricks with a sigh and nodded "if he leaves me be i will be alright' he replies quietly. He made a concious look for Sauri to know that she was okay before he looked back to Kenshu.
"thanks kenny, its good to see you out here helping today" he commented with a small smile

"Grieve all you want, all you need. I would never get over the death of Sauri, I do not have a problem with your emotions over Romal. Vaughan I have a problem with you and your brother ripping each others throats out infront of the coven who are also in grief. They do not need to see what they just saw"
He folded his arms letting Vaughan get as defensive as he liked, he did not care if he were to direct his anger full on at him, they were no longer in sight of the others.
"I know you were close to Romal. Remember that when you attack Caine who is also your brother. Romal I am sure would have stopped you both"

With everything that had just happened Erebus lowered a large sheet of metal down onto the floor careful not to catch Alex with any of its corners.
He had not turned to look at the fight, he didn't want to see any of it because it was his duty to stop it but right now he didn't have the heart to. He didn't even want to talk to them. Disgusted with Vaughan for letting things get that far, Caine he understood, he had always been a hot headed git.
"Alex stay here please"
Moving off once the brothers had been taken away Erebus went to collect Sauri, feeling awful for the woman even though he also couldn't help but hold a little resentment. "Sauri come on, leave them to let off steam... come help me and Alex?" he felt the need to get her away from them and her mind somewhere else.

"youve got guts telling me what romal would have done" Vaughan eyes him when he had finished speaking, though he couldnt deny the fact that ajax made sense. that above all things irritated the shit out of him. "Caines got his own idea's, Nate and I know that and i can guarantee you that isnt in the way of our family unit" he announces as he had begun to pace.

"Yeah yeah we came we saw, we planted flowers" she muttered her hands searching out the little cuts first to check them for any dirt which may have gotten inside them, she knew he would heal quick enough but he didn't need dirty wounds closing.
"Caine...?"
She stopped kneeling down infront of him.
"Have you considered...even a little bit of what Vaughan feels?" her head still screamed with the torment his brother had felt.
"Just a little?"

His eyes followed each step whih Vaughan took the anger rising from him was what Ajax would now concentrate upon. He knew the looks of someone who needed a way of releasing all of what was bothering him and Vaughan didn't look as though he were about to curl up in a ball of tears and whimpers any time soon.
"Romal would have done that Vaughan. He would also be torn up over what you are doing to one another. You speak of Nate but I don't see him rushing back here to take a lump of Caine for protecting what he knows to be the truth"
He knew Vaughan blamed Sauri. It didn't change his view though he respected that Vaughan has the right to blame her.

"ive got Nathaniel looking after our sister" Vaughan replied after a moment, there are five..four of us, we are meant to be sticking together not falling apart" he growled. running a hand through his hand he slowed and turned "dont you ever get sick and tired of being the head of the family?" he asked at last, as though he felt hopeless in answering his own questions

Ajaxs kiss to her cheek made tears brim her eyes. She watchedAjax walk away with Vaughan, and Kenshu went with Caine. She felt her head spin, and a familiar slither crawled up her spine. She turned and bolted past the gardens and Into the surrounding area. she knew the angrier she got the more she was at risk from the goddess coming back to do more damage to her....and those she loved. she stopped finally, and tried to calm herself. She growled and the ground cratered around her as she gave a battle of wills to the goddess who once more tried to over take her. "Not...this...time..." She growled and with a scream that rang into the air. Her power exploded and she shot the goddess back where she belonged. She roared her aggressions up to her in the sky. Defeat would not come today...she hd to be strong, to keep the goddess at bay.
When Erebus showed up she turned slowly. "Okay...." She said softly, and was glad for the distraction.

"do you?" Caine replied to kenshu as she cleaned his cuts. he looked her in the eyes, the window he knew to knowing what was going on up in that head of hers. only the scream that broke the air of silence made him jump
"thats sauri' he announced almsot breathlessly, taking off without warning to find her. he left kenshu behind, jumping over this and that to get to his fiance until at last he found her.
"whats wrong" he asked with panic, hoping she would face him as herself and not someone else within

He would never ever say what he said now, not infront of the coven. Not infront of anyone but he said it for Vaughan as it was the truth and Vaughan needed to hear it.
"Of course I do. It is exhausting. But would you have it any other way? Leave them in the dark alone to crawl around with no shelter no guide to protect them from the darkness which threatens every one of us every second of our lives?"
