Grant me Serenity (pt 2)

[Darcassan]

Darcassan loked at her and shook his head lightly. "No we are a team, my weakness is backed up by your amazing strength as your weakness is backed up by my strength. That's what a team is."

He moved his hands to removed the gloves as he looked at her, exposing the small tattoo like markings of his mother and father's names. "Usually my clan do not enteract with their offspring but my mother and father had cause of the fact our clan had the noble bloodline."

[Ariana]

She sighed and sat back down away from him, a small smile on her lips. Reaching out she gently took one of his hands so that she could see the small markings easier. She had not received any markings by her people. Only knowledge but unlike him she was not of noble blood line.

"You were sent into slavery despite your bloodline?"

[Darcassan]

Darcassan looked at her, he sighed ever so slightly. "You could say I was used more then the average male of the drow because of my noble blood. Makes the perfect breeder cause of the blood." He sighed, shaking his head before remembering back to his years as a child.

His eyes changed to a darker color it was almost a black in color as he closed his eyes, she would be able to see just how violent his past as a child was cause she was touching him when he had started to remember back.

[Ariana]

"You were raped?"

She cringed at the idea. Rape was a human term but he might have understood the meaning of it. The images that flashed through her mind from the contact were alarming. She sharply pulled away. It felt like an invasion of privacy, one that she did not ask permission to see.

[Darcassan]

Darcassan opened his eyes sharply and looked at her. "I'm sorry for you having to see that, with the wounds, I am not able to fully control my usual powers, please forgive me." He looked away, he knew the term well.

"You see in the drow realm it's used as breeding but humans would call it that word, he couldn't bare to use such a low word.

[Ariana]

"That is...."

She bit her tongue so not to insult him or his culture. Both of them were very different although a little similar.

"I am sorry that it happened to you Cassan. But regardless of what happened one thing I believe in is that our past is what makes us who we are today and if I may say so, you are a very fine individual Darcassan."

[Darcassan]

Darcassan tilted his head slightly confused by her words before nodding. "Yes, our past is what makes us. Now you have see the true power of what my people can do when pushed to the edge."

He rose to his feet and stopped. Almost like he was frozen in time before snapping out of it as he fell backward and groans.

[Ariana]

She tilted her head when he rose up, freezing as though someone had him locked in one position before he fell back. She did not have any time to catch him so instead she quickly moved to his side. Using the tips of her fingers to gently move his long white hair away from his face so that she could see him clearly. Leaning over him.

"Cassan? Are you alright?"

[Darcassan]

Darcassan blinked looking up at Ariana, something drew him to lightly move her hair from her face before he looked away and moved to sit up again. "Yes, I am alright, just not used to being this badly wounded without my usual healing kicking in. I'm not much of a waiter when it comes to things." He gave a slight smirk.

[Ariana]

Her eyes closed briefly when she felt his fingers brush across her cheek when he moved her hair away. She could tell by the simple touch that his hands were rough from the abuse that they had taken. They were worn from time but the way they fleeted against her skin was near gently and for some reason the gesture made her cheeks brighten in their pink hue.

Ariana looked away briefly until the warmth surrounding her face and neck went away.

"You should rest. Perhaps we should find a place to clean up and recover properly.."

[Darcassan]

Darcassan used most of his energy to summon a massive sabertooth to his side as the massive creature growled at Ariana. "No Kase, leave her be she is not to be harmed. protect her as you protect me" The massive tiger seemed uneasy before lowering to lay by Darcassan's side.

Low whines escaped from the massive creatures jaw in protest as to why he was in such a bad state, he simply just petted the creature and fell still against the creature's side. "I am sorry if Kase scared" He went still, his body passing out finally.

[Ariana]

Mandre screeched and opened his wings as the large tiger appeared.

"Mandre.."

She chided him through her voice and watched as Darcassan finally gave in to the exhaustion after the battle. Ariana wished to do the same, although they were out in the open and possibly in danger should something or someone come their way. Even with Kase and Mandre there to keep watch she could not give in to the temptation of sleep. So instead, she kept her watch. Not daring to brush Cassan's hair away from his face should Kase not accept it. Understanding that Kase needed to accept her and trust her.

Mandre took flight to keep an eye out over head of them.

[Darcassan]

Darcassan would have been out for only a few minutes when his body jolted awake as he looked almost blood thirsty as he blinked, trying to remember where he was and what was going on, Kase nudged him with his large head as he blinked and slowly started to calm down.

Allowing his breathing to come back to his usual pace as he looked around again but didn't speak. He never went to sleep so it had given him a massive shock to have passed out as he looked to Kase then to Ariana.

[Ariana]

She nearly jumped out of her skin when he jolted up right awake. Bright amber eyes looked from Kase and then to Cassan when he turned to look at her. She said not a single word, instead keeping her eyes on him. He almost looked as though he was going to jump her out of paranoia if she made any sudden move or said anything.

"Cassan?"

Worry marred her voice as she spoke his name.

[Darcassan]

Darcassan looked at her in silence for a few moments before nodding slowly. "Yes, forgive me. It was a shock to me I don't do well with shocks." He chuckled slightly as Kase rolled his eyes and yawned, laying beside him as he leaned back, using him as a back rest.

"Sorry if I scared you, I don't sleep for the reason if I do, my powers in this state will run wild and I really don't wish to place you in any more danger then what you have already faced."
