Just keep swimming (Senmei & Co. - AU)

[Blink]

About a month back Blink had found her way to Lacrimosa, actually she had found her way to Darkwood forest and then to the mansion of some renowned twins she had never heard anything of. Being in space ship and cut off from earth kind of did that. She shook away thoughts of the space ship and wandered further into the forest, knowing that she had seen a body of water around here somewhere. Pausing in her long strides, Blink looked back to see if she could catch sight of Senmei, the puppy girl she'd run into on her first day in this new and strange land. It was easy to confuse Senmei with a child, she was tiny and portable, fluffy, and cuddly. And she had a very strange relationship with an older guy. Blink mentally shrugged and turned back to the lake, making her way to it and when reaching the shores breathed in the fresh air before immediately peeling her shoes off using her feet.

Thinking back, Blink didn't remember a single distinguishing feature about Roye; except the mop of hair that covered his face. It was strange that she'd not remember someone she had to see each time she wanted to visit Senmei. The weirder thing was wanting to play with an anthro girl when you were a full-grown woman. More thoughts to push away and ponder at a later time, hands reached up and removed the elastic holding the plaited pink strands in place, fingers combed out the braid and tugged the elastic onto her wrist before she got to her feet and wiggled out of pants and shirt; already in a one-piece underneath. She wondered where Senmei had gotten to but smiled. "Last one in has to give up their dessert!"

[Senmei]

Senmei had been trailing along right behind Blink for the most part, only veering off when something shiny or colorful caught her eye. Every now and then the small Schipperke Inu would circle around back to her owner, Roye, to make sure he was keeping up with them. She had been much happier since meeting her new friends here to be sure and there was always something to investigate and explore. Today was no different when Blink had told her of a big lake she found in the woods. The heat here was making Senmei pant with her thick hair and fluffy ears and tail trapping in all that body heat. Having a swim in the shady woods sounded like a great idea to her!

At the threat of her dessert, Senmei rushes to the lake's shore, already wiggling out of her baggy shorts and her comfy top to reveal a cute red bikini that looked suspiciously like one a child would wear. "Nuuuuu I love my dessert!" With that being said, Senmei bounds into the water recklessly while splashing around in her haste. Loud yips and sqeeing could be heard as the shock of the cool water hits her hot skin and fur. Soon she is doggy paddling in the shallows with a goofy smile, heading back near the shore to make sure where Roye and Blink were. Water dripped from her hair and ears as if it didn't have a chance to seep into her undercoat quite yet. "Heeey you guys coming?"

[Roye Naruheme]

Roye isn't too far behind the two girls, currently clad in a pair of cargo shorts and sandals. Senmei's diving into the water causing him to shake his head and smile. He never liked swimming at lakes but at least he's dressed to get in just in case the little pup goes too far in the water. He sets up a folding chair near the shore and settles on it, "I'll stay back and watch, you have fun sweetie." he calls out to Senmei. After folding his arms behind his head he looks to Blink and motions to the water, "You two can have my dessert." he muses with a smile, clearing his throat before relaxing near the water.

[Blink]

Hearing the squealing woman caused Blink to smile, stretching out her limbs and just barely having time to move out of the way of Senmei's sudden appearance. There was no chance to test the water, and not that it would have mattered because Senmei simply jumped in after having her dessert being threatened. Maybe she forgot that there was no such thing? Or at least Blink hadn't brought anything to eat, though that was easily resolved by returning to the mysteriously and always stocked Matashina coven. Sometimes it was a good thing to have her powers, though the vast majority of the time they were more of a hassle than they were worth. Senmei's bathing suit made her feel somewhat overdressed. Blink was all about simple, no insignia, bows or logos; just plain black and uniform. Solid colors were what she was used to, and the black made her feel uniform and comfortable in her own skin. If anyone asked the mutant, they would realize that Blink very rarely thought of herself as anything more than freakishly mediocre. And well, freakish. 

Seeing Roye make his way, carrying along a portable chair made Blink smile wider. Apparently the man had no intention on getting into the water. Not that it mattered, maybe she could talk Senmei into dragging him in. They were on familiar enough terms, - Roye and herself- for Blink to just grab onto him and chuck him in. Upon hearing Roye's words she chuckled and raised a brow at him, the markings above her eye raising and wrinkling with the motion. She was glad they didn't mean her freakish markings, and that they didn't stare openly - or at all for that matter- at the pink marks she'd had since birth. Wait until they saw that she could turn as pink as her hair. That would be a sight for sure.

"What are we having for dessert? I don't remember talking lunch or dinner, but it better be good since you gave it up."She spoke to Roye at first, but quickly turned her attention to Senmei and taking a few steps back, she broke into a quick jog, hopped off the edge of the shore and curled herself up into a cannon ball. She splashed into the water, creating somewhat of a wave before coming back up and laughing after catching her breath.

[Senmei]

Before she could reply to Blink's question, a wave splashes over her face making her spit lake water out of her mouth. Senmei didn't seem to mind though as she giggles and paddles over to Blink. Her white hair is slicked to her head now and her eyes bright with her happiness. Believe it or not Senmei has never swam in anything bigger or deeper than a public bath until now. "Roye makes really good banana splits! He makes sure every one is made with the perfect balance of everything. It's amazing, honest!"

Senmei then paddles around in figure eights and weaves around Blink before swimming close to Roye to try and splash him with her small kicking feet then swims back towards Blink, all the while with a grin on her face. Her tail acted like a rudder as she made her turns in the water so that her hands and feet could focus on swimming. Every now and then she would duck her body under to pop back up a few seconds later to keep her head and face cool in the lake. It felt amazing to finally cool off all over instead of panting all the time. People tend to stare too much when she did that... or maybe it was because she whined through her nose as she did it as a way of complaining about how hot she was.

[Roye Naruheme]

Roye moves his arm around to wave it dismissively at Senmei's bragging of his culinary skills. "I could if we had the ingredients." he chimes in, "But I think today dessert should be something more of the shaved ice variety." he belatedly answers to Blink. "Something made with water beats the heat better than something with milk." He gives the two girls a small smile as he tips his head back into the chair to relax, soaking in the sun's rays. His skin looks like it needs the sun as though he doesn't get out too much, but it's hard to tell if he'll be crispy soon or if he'll bake and get some color.

[Daton]

"You guys are so loud you could wake the lich under your feet" Daton said quietly, who seemed to have been somewhat close by and attracted by the noise.... or he had been keeping taps on the newer arrivals with his abilities. Both possibilities would be of little surprise. This teenager was leaning against a tree, wearing simple hooded robes that were only slightly lighter in colour to what monks have been known to wear. There was no bad vibe coming from him, in fact there didn't seem to be much of anything emotional coming from the male.

The strangest thing about this young man wasn't his strange dress code, it was the fact he was clearly wearing some kind of blindfold for unknown reasons yet seemed to look at each of these people in turn. Interesting when one can not see.

"Greetings"

[Blink]

Blink had never had shaved ice, but she was too busy floating on her back and enjoying the cool water on her skin versus the hot of the sun to make a comment. Her eyes following the path that Senmei made with her tail and chuckling at the sight of the girl doggy paddling. She would never be able to get used to the site of her swimming around like that, it was strange and yet natural all at once. Another voice caused Blink to turn and she sunk into the water, but caught herself before she went under. Her green eyes stared just above the water at the voice of the strange hooded and blind folded man leaning against the tree.

Flickering her gaze towards Senmei and Roye, the water began to glow the rift shade of pink usually emanated from her hands when she was creating javelins. "Hello..." Was she supposed to apologize for being loud outside? Blink wasn't sure whether it was just a statement he was making, or if this fellow was indeed disturbed by their human and happy noises.

[Senmei]

The small Inu paused in her swimming and tilted her head at the sound of the new male's voice, listening and watching to read his mood to see if he was a threat or not. Senmei could feel Blink getting tense and could tell that her friend had never met the cloaked one before. Call it her canine superstition but she never did like those who wore hoods, hats, or things that covered up the eyes. It made reading people very tricky. After her brief assessment, she paddles over to him, being sure to keep her paws under water so they wouldn't splash. Upon reaching the shore, she rises up to her feet that resembled hindpaws and shakes the water from herself so that her hair, ears, and tail fluffed out. Being sure to place herself between Roye and the new man, she steps a little closer with her tail slightly wagging and a smile curving her lips.

"Hello there, sir. Sorry if we bothered you. My name is Senmei and this is Roye and Blink."

[Roye Naruheme]

Roye looks to the newer arrival and waves his hand, "Hello." he greets and reclines back in his chair. "We might have ice cream later if you're interested." he offers nonchalantly, folding his arms behind his head. "The more the merrier." He doesn't seem nervous or too worried about the new company, only the health of his wallet.

[Daton]

Daton was part of the coven, however he very rarely entered the grounds these days, so to see him here would have been a surprise to anyone who knew his ways, but it was possible he wanted to 'see' the newcomers for himself.

He didn't say anything for a few moments as he pulled an apple from his left sleeve. He did enjoy apples. The taste was what made him smile, but for the moment he didn't take a bite. He merely held it in his hands. "I'm Daton" He answered, giving a polite mod, but no smile or overly warm tone of voice, just warm enough so his words didn't seem harsh in tone. "What brings you three here?"

[Blink]

Blink looked towards Senmei out of the corner of her eyes, she was extremely suspicious of the male before them because he wasn't overly friendly and he wasn't overly rude. Still, there was something about him that threw her off and she was slightly nervous about Senmei giving their names away so casually. Granted he was probably a resident of the coven she'd been sleeping at and it would do her a huge favor to be nice to the man that could possibly cast her out. Though when he said his name she became a little less tense and allowed herself to breathe, taking her hair and pulling it over the left shoulder to braid it, tucking some of the loose locks behind an ear.

"Portals, and a chance to swim." Her eyes flickered to the apple but she smiled, though she very much doubted that he could see past that blindfold covering his eyes. "What about you? What is it that brings you out here? We're not intruding on anything, are we?"

[Senmei]

Her nose wiggles slightly as she tries to pick up the new person's scent before turning to wade around in the shoals, giggling a little as she feels something tickling her feet under the water. Wondering what it was, she wades in further to dive under and check it out. Senmei wasn't all too worried about the stranger right now since Roye seemed relaxed around him. She trusted his judgement and it had yet to steer them wrong so far. Besides, it was HOT! She had just gotten out of the water not too long ago and she had been halfway dried before going back in and that should say something! It's not easy to dry an undercoat. Now what was that thing that was tickling her feet?

[Roye Naruheme]

Roye crosses his arms behind his head and tips it back, "I'm not so much for swimming, more getting some sun." he replies, "Name's Roye if you can remember it." he lets out a little chuckle before looking out to where Senmei's diving, readying himself to get her just in case she doesn't come up fast enough.

[Daton]

"I remember everything" He replied as he slowly leaned against a tree. He didn't seem all that fast, no faster than the average human that was for sure... but how did he know the tree was right there? He was indeed a puzzle, and not many managed to complete the puzzle.

He folded his arms as he remained silent for a few moment, merely listening out to he sounds around him. He often enjoyed the sounds of quiet places, such places didn't hurt his ears. "I often walk the forests" He replied to Blink, in his normal quiet voice which was often called emotionless, but it was really just quiet "Even if the coven member think I'll fall and break my neck"
