Shaking hands with the elderly woman Erebus placed a roll of money into her hand. He had met widow Hope on many occasion when he needed off out of the streets if the weather had turned and she never accepted much if any money from anyone but she knew Erebus now and knew he would have it no other way. What she did was a service for the people of Lacrimosa and she never got any thanks for it. The old woman scoffed with pink cheeks and tucked the money into her apron away from sight, at least it could buy some food and provisions which Erebus knew were often short in the building, she didn't have much but what she did have she had always shared with the likes of him.
"Hello Hope, you're looking well" he beamed at her his expression careful not to let any of the turmoil he felt spill out onto his face "If you have a room to spare I would be really grateful for it" Of course he knew Hope would have one for him, she always did and even when she didn't she still found a sofa or an old mattress he had never seen anyone turned away.
"Of course Erebus, it is so good to see you back and healthy" she fussed quickly wiping down the counter before leading him through the half way house towards one of the rooms he had often used in the past.
Giving the woman a hug with a little warmth added to it Erebus kissed her cheek thanking her before he slid into the room and left her to her work. It wasn't anything special, a dresser, a small set of draws and a single bed that had seen better days but it was more like home then most places he had ever seen and in this case it was a sanctuary in this city. He had come wanting to find Alex or at least gain some news of him but nerves had been eating away at him that he might not hear the news he wanted. He needed a stop and he had chosen Hopes. Not ready to go any further he would stay here for now and see what happened. Placing his bag down against the bed he left the room locking the door behind him so he could wonder out into the small front garden to sit on one of the old benches there soaking up some of the remaining sun of the day.

"I don't think I've seen you around these places mister" His form rested upside down in the shadows. It was his more shadow form since his real form was trapped in another place for now at least, since it was his shadow form the eyes were red rather then the usual lightning blue. Landing in a crouch and tilting his head to the left then right, looking at the man up and down. He was always curious in meeting new people, he stood the shorter height of 5'10, for his age it was normal so it never really bothered him much, he was still a young teen. "Sorry, I did not know this room was being used, I like hanging out here. I'll let you be" Stepping from the shadows and showed just how young he really was, heading for the door.

Tracking Erebus had been a very simple task once she had gotten his scent stuck in her mind there would be no escaping from her, not in this lifetime and not unless he strictly told her not to follow. She clung closer to the shadows, a tiny little thing with chocolate brown hair and eyes to match, wearing one of her usual strapless dresses in red with a white cardigan. Her heels dug into the dirt, and she had left them behind in a puddle due to the weakening effect the sun's rays had on her. By the time she reached the halfway house she was covered in mud and held small traces of blood on her person, dark stains making a grimier effect on her red dress. Saoirse stopped under the shadow of a tree, parched and tired from the last vestiges of light still causing small tendrils of smoke to rise from exposed portions of her skin. If Erebus had only told her that he was coming, she would have used some sunblock.
Palm pressed against the tree, she braced herself to keep from falling and looked on from the shadows as those inside the house moved around, the conversations taking place and the person lurking in the shadows all forced their way in through her sensitive ears. The company she had been in with regards to Erebus had not been long, but she had seen the scars that he hid behind his easy going manner and the tortured soul that lurked just beneath the surface. Something had called him back to Lacrimosa and even if he had not told her to come, Saoirse had followed. An instinct burning deep in her belly told her that if she stayed she'd never find the demi-god again. Out from the shadow of the trees, stumbling forward with bleeding feet the vampire made herself known. Eyes staring longingly at the way the veins pulsed beneath the flesh. "He's from somewhere over the rainbow."
This was directed towards the male speaking to Erebus, her tongue whetting her lower lip in contemplation of how quickly she could sink her fangs into that deliciously slender neck. The others she'd eaten along the way had replenished the strength she had already expended, a refill of her drink of choice was long overdue.

With his head bowed Erebus worked his thumb nail into the wood of the bench carving away little pictures and patterns as his mind occupied itself with all sorts of possibilities going from optimistic to down right depressing. Being outside and alone he made no attempt to regulate his temperature a film of sweating air shimmering around him as he sat heating up the wood. A young voice broke him away from what he was doing his head tilted up to where the voice had come from a memory stirring within his mind. Did he recognize the voice? No.. he sighed seeing the boy upside down, he was to old to be the one he looked for but he tried not to let the kid see his disappointment. "Well it's a good thing we are outside then..." he replied his mind snapping into focus as Saoirse appeared.
Instantly he felt guilt at the sight of her. He had left without warning or details of where he want but he had not wanted to drag her into another one of his nightmares. His eyes fell upon her speaking of his guilt, he wouldn't have to say it she would see it plain enough from his eyes. "Saoirse" He jumped up from where he sat the sight of her twisting his stomach that she had come out and caused herself that much damage to follow him. Putting his temperature down he grabbed her off of her feet drawing her inside the house towards the boy then passed him to get her well away from the window. "You ok?"

Watched the woman carefully before noting the man carefully and blinked, looking at the man again, something clicked over in her mind and moved to the woman's side, slitting his wrist and held it out to her. "My blood will restore, it may be human but its properties have a unique trait to them, it will feed a starved vampire within a few moments of the vampire feeding, you will be alright soon miss." He usually wouldn't help anyone but there was something odd about the man, he knew him from some where, usually he would just walk away. "Erebus..." He mumbled under his breath but said nothing more, focusing on the woman for a few moments. His mind working over how he knew the man, ticking over and over until he knew where and kept it to himself till the woman was alright.
He needed to speak with the man but the woman was in need of help and for the sake of the man he was willing to help her, he gathered from the pain and hurt in the other man's body language and look that he was very concerned for the woman so he would put forth his help even if it meant giving his blood to the woman, the massive scythe remained strapped to his back, mainly used for protection rather then intimidation.

"Blood..." The word left her lips just as fast as her feet moved, unfortunately for the vampire Erebus had reacted just a second sooner and interrupted her feast upon that boy's life force. She mewled like a kitten denied her milk and looked over Erebus' shoulder when he lifted her off her feet. The scent of the boy's blood flooding all of her senses and sending them into a frenzy which caused her body to quake. Nails grew and trembling hands dug themselves into Erebus' shirt, ripping through the material in an effort to keep herself from ripping into the demi-god himself.
It was an admirable thing, for a vampire in the throes of bloodlust to keep their composure, but in the state that Saoirse was in it was obvious she was going to lose it at any second. Saoirse was panting like a wild animal, her eyes blood red and searching as they entered the place, contact was made with one of the people staying there and she purred, leaping out of Erebus's arms, ignoring his obvious guilt and pain and giving into her hunger. Clumsily though in a flash she stumbled across the floor and the hypnotized male stood stock still even as she jumped on him. His back snapping from the sheer weight of her own body and both crumpling to the floor. Though Saoirse's fangs had been embedded into his neck and by the time they hit the ground she'd already drained him, tipping her head back in obvious relief the blood trickled down her neck and soaked into her clothes. Some of the burns from the UV rays had already begun to heal and her hair, looking unhealthy and brittle began to regain some of its softness and gloss. Her fingers dug into the artery to take what her tongue had missed and licked the blood off her fingers before it coagulated. Chocolate brown eyes turned towards the two, they were still ringed in red. "I'm hungry..."

She seemed to be in a worse state then he had anticipated the wounds to her having drained her to the point where she was close to literally going feral vampire on him. He had no fear of her nor that she might hurt him, if she bit into him he would let her in the knowledge that if she couldn't stop he could stop her with his own powers easily enough, what he was afraid of was the way the boy had so easily offered himself up spilling his blood. Erebus hoped that if Saoirse went for him the boy was right and she wouldn't need to much but the boy didn't know Saoirse and the mental thread she so often dangled on. "Don't be foolish boy" he muttered trying to keep hold of the vampire who in the end over powered him breaking free to hurl herself at a male she had thankfully blanked out first.
The impact made him cringe as she toppled the two of them to the floor, the draining not taking long. It had always upset and awed Erebus to see how fast a life could be snuffed out, he couldn't help it stir a feeling a dread deep within him but he would never see Saoirse differently. He sighed running his fingers through his hair in distress wondering how on earth to explain and apologize enough to Hope once she found out. "That is obvious" he retorted a little to sharp at her without meaning to as she admitted her hunger. He looked at her then the boy, there was no way in hell he would allow her to drink from an adolescent in front of him. He tilted his head to the side, amber eyes upon her with his neck exposed for easy access "Come on"

Sat back and gave a light shrug, bringing his bleeding wrist to his lips, licking the wound away with ease, whipping his mouth with the back on his hand. "Still an old man I see father...." He leaned back, he never did like the taste of his own blood but he didn't see it needed as he rose to his feet and stepped out, leaving the man to care for the woman, sliding his hands into his pockets and sat down outside, staring up at the sky, he couldn't stay much longer around this man without everything coming free, he needed Darius's help soon then he thought as he sighed and rested his head on his knees, closing his eyes.

Saoirse flinched at the sharpness in Erebus's words and her eyes darkened, turning her face away from him with a slight sound of annoyance she closed the dead man's wide open eyes and slid off the corpse. There were other beings in the place that she could eat, it didn't have to be Erebus or the boy who wandered outside. The words rang clearly in her ears and suspicious of who he was, Saoirse watched him move outside.
Leaving the body on the ground she walked to Erebus and cupped the back of his neck, unable to resist the call of blood. Her fingers tangled in his hair and pulled his head back right before she bit into it. Taking only a few mouthfuls and having to forcefully pull herself away. He'd probably want to go after the boy and Saoirse wasn't going to keep him from whatever Erebus was seeking here. "Father?"

He watched the boy as he dealt with the wound he had made upon his wrist, he didn't care what properties the blood have it just sat wrong with him to let a kid take the fall in such a way. Saoirse fangs pierced through his flesh as her hand ran through his hair curling her fingers into it to subconsciously hold him in place. He didn't flinch having been bitten before on more then one occasion during the war though this had been the first time he consented to it, he trusted her even if she didn't trust herself with him. His eyes fell to close so he could concentrate on the way his body responded so he knew when to say enough was enough but the word Father had his eyes snapping back open his body becoming tense with anxiety and stress in that instant. His eyes searched out the boy but he had gone outside. Before he even realized Saoirse had pulled away from him and he still stood frozen his mind trying to work out what was happening and how the boy could be Alex when he was so much older.

Remained sitting outside, lost in his own thoughts, he was remembering fast which was bad since it was splitting his skull in two, least it felt that way, curling his arms around his knees, he never wanted this, he didn't even remember the man, just flashes of him, the woman he knew nothing of so she triggered nothing in him, it was the man, the one he had once called father. He remained quiet, wondering what else he would remember about the man but for now it was only flashes and broken conversations.

Saoirse wiped her dirty hands on her dirty dress and then folded them behind her back, lacing the fingers together. Erebus had a faraway look in his eyes as he looked towards the exit. The way the boy had gone. The walls started to crowd her again and no that part of her sanity had returned and she as thinking properly she began to feel it again. The feeling of being out of place in a world where she didn't belong, with people she saw passing by like in a T.V. show. Always on the outside. "I'm going shopping, I need new clothes."
Rising on the tips of her toes, hands held back and fingers splayed she pressed a kiss to Erebus's cheek and then wandered out. He had business he had to attend to and she had a long walk in the sun to the nearest city and lots and lots of shopping to do. As she passed the boy she leaned down and peered at him with scrutinizing eyes, then stood up straight and walked into the sunlight. Steam came off her flesh as the rays slowly began to burn, but Saoirse kept walking. Erebus didn't want her around now that he had other business. She shouldn't have followed him.
Exit Saoirse

As he stood confused Saoirse came over to him and planted a kiss on his cheek after brushing her fingers along it. Lost eyes moved to capture her face as she told him that she were leaving to look for dresses it surprised him a bit that she would be leaving him so soon after finding him but he nodded slow anyway, he had no right to ask her to stay with him even though he had no idea what to do. He had not informed her he would be leaving in the first place it was very selfish of him and he knew he would probably be punished for it, maybe even by losing her. He flinched as she left him walking off into the sun light which would again hurt her but he didn't stop her his jaw clenching as his eyes turned away to find the boy who had placed him in such a confused state.
Walking out to him his eyes took in the details of him, he did look similar to Alex to say the least but he was to old. Erebus felt the ache of confusion and tension behind his eyes, he cleared his throat slowly and spoke his voice careful and quiet. "Why do you call me father?"

He stared at the odd woman, she confused him, didn't vampires burn up in the sun, he noted the look in her eyes, he's seen it from others and he hated it but he did not blame the woman, he jumped slightly and slowly stared up at the man, he didn't really know how to explain what was going on in his skull but he grabbed his hand, he wondered if it would trigger anything like it had with Xiomara. He flinched slightly but kept his grip light on the older man's hand, everything he was remembering Erebus would see it as well, he recalled most of his past despite the pain and let go, crawling away slightly, the pain in his skull was getting to him again, like someone was splitting his skull in two.

The boy shot forward and caught his hand in his own and instantly Erebus was stuck unable to pull away as the images of the life they had shared burst through his mind in a fast forwarded sped up version of events, it dizzied him and confused him if he hadn't have had hold of the boy he probably would have had to sit down to avoid falling. The images veered away to the life the boy had been through since they had separated but it confused him more. Lots of labs lots of experiments and eyes of uncaring men, Erebus couldn't grasp it all properly but the one thing he felt was that the boy was Alex some way.
Their contact broke and he stumbled but the boy seemed worse off shrinking away until he basically writhed in agony clutching at his head. Erebus hand rose to him but he paused not wanting to make it worse for him, his own chest burned with pain but this was wasn't with a physical cause it was an ache of a broken father. "What can I do?"
