He wasn't falling for it when she pulled back with a laugh, his expression had remained the same he would not allow her to make light of the situation. It was doing that and hiding what was happening that caused her to lose it so badly in the first place. She needed to mourn what had happened and then accept it. "Don't say you're sorry" he replied his voice quiet and careful as he looked at he having dropped his hands he still stood close enough to her that she would feel his current. "We all lose something when we come back. But those things you have to face in the end" he knew that well enough even though he had no control over his instinct to kill his brothers he had at least tried to fight it. "Why don't we find somewhere to set up for a few days until we're ready to go back to the coven?"

Not really wanting to hear it but knowing she had to, it was for the best, she turned around and faced Romal again. Her expression serious once more, the pain obvious but well kept. Vulnerability was a weakness and even that luxury was not one she could afford. She had to keep her wits about her. "You're one to talk Mal, running away from the subject of your brothers." Anger, though it lacked plenty of conviction; finding that in the end she didn't really want to fight. Nodding at his suggestion she walked towards him and took his hand, lacing their fingers together. His current was like a balm against her wounds, it was why she was attached to him.
It also helped to take some of the edge off him, whenever he needed it she'd drain him. "Well I'm homeless right now, so I think we should rent out a small flat for a few days. Do you want to go room hunting together? Where are Ashall and Jenko?"

She threw what he said back into his face with the comment of his brothers. His lips drew into a line, she had seen how mutilated it had made him and how twisted yet she still spat it at him despite knowing he had no choice then to either run from it when he could or end up being forced to face them in a end game which he knew was coming. He bit back a reply to what she had said when she started to back pedal obviously not having meant to snap at him the way that she had done. He rolled a shoulder letting them both drop as she came towards him to take his hand. His fingers wrapped through hers without anything other then the friendship they held, he never cared what anyone thought of their relationship they knew where one another stood.
"I'm pretty sure I also fit into the street bum variety" he responded his tone lighter and less wounded then it could have been. "We can go hit town now and have a look..." the hounds she had been looking around for them he could see her eyes wonder often. "You want them here? I can summon them"

One shrug and then she shook her head when he asked about summoning the hounds, she could tell that she had wounded him some with her response regarding his brothers but it couldn't be helped. If he was going to make her face her demons then she was going to make him face his. They both needed to come to terms with their reality, but maybe it could wait a little bit longer. Giving his hand an affectionate squeeze she smiled, sensing that he had taken it the way she meant it and not to just piss him off or throw it in his face. "No, let them do whatever they're doing. It just makes me feel less of a freak when my kind are around."
Bumping his shoulder with hers she waited for him to take the lead this time, his words about being a bum made her grin further. Things worked this way with them, she pissed him off and he took it or snapped at her. Then the next moment they were planning being roomies. "Let's go apartment shopping! Who cares what anyone will think about us living together. They already have a twisted outlook on us anyway."
