Azrae shrugged and finally let go of him since he appeared to be calming down, she had to remember that Romal was not a child and she didn’t need to take care of him. Things had been fragile when she had first appeared and now they appeared to be tenuous as well. Turning around she started to walk towards the manor, though she didn’t want to go back. It was always so loud and crowded with newcomers that she really didn’t feel like welcoming. Then a thought occurred to her and she turned in another direction. “Mind if we stop by the house before heading towards the manor? I want to get some things from my old home, since I won’t be living there.” Acting like nothing had happened was the only way Azrae knew how to tell people not to ask. She’d skewer them if they asked one thing, unless it were certain people; she didn’t want to talk about it.

As he was released from her he let out a long breath to release some tension before he began to follow her on her way, he didn't respond when she spoke of going to the manor he had his doubts whether he would be welcome in the place the face of his future sister in law Sauri playing through his mind. Her hands had been the ones to take his life, her hands had also been those that pulled him back out of hell but she had bought him back a monster something which they all had paid for for all he knew he would be struck down as soon as he walked through the doors. It would be known that he had only returned to finish what he had started which was to kill all of his male siblings. "Sure" he replied when she spoke about going back to the house it was somewhere preferable but he wondered if she would be able to handle it on an emotional level it was where her son spent his short life. "You sure?"

Shrugging she continued to walk, out of the cemetery and into the woods, taking the trails she had taken many other times. Romal appeared to be hesitant about going back to the coven, she didn't know what had happened but things had definitely changed. Now she was starting to question whether she should have come back at all.
As they approached the house she paused, staring straight ahead. Her eyes looked into the home, her ears listened in on murmured conversation. Someone had moved in, their child's toys loitering about the entrance. Azrae's fists clenched at her sides and she stood as still as was possible for the undead. Not breathing or seeing, hearing things, happy things that she wanted to take apart. And then she was moving forward, her nails tearing into her palm and blood seeping through it. She splashed it on the side of the house, clapped her hands once into the prayer form and dropped down to press them against the ground. It began to rumble like an earthquake had taken over, her eyes blazing red with fury.
The foundation of the house creaked and the screaming could be heard from inside. The people were being crushed beneath the falling home. The cries of children reaching deaf ears. Damien should never have let this monstrosity stand. Blood red tears streamed down her cheeks and her throat burned with the murderous screams. "GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!" But they couldn't, because she had trapped them all inside and they would never get out. The house would continue to sink and eventually be taken over by flames.

He didn't have a particularly good feeling about going back to Azrae's family home especially when she seemed to shrug off his comment with such a lack of care it didn't sit right with him, he knew she would react in one way or another but he could not have imagined what would come, not by a long shot. His eyes met the belongings scattered around the garden, they were never there before and suddenly he heard the voices coming from within the walls, a new family had moved in. He frowned wondering how such a thing had happened when either Azrae or Damien would have had to sell the place on by Az's reaction it was far from her doing which he figured would be the case.
When she fell to her knees he moved towards her but then quickly diverted, he had killed more then his fill of innocent people when his transition had started but he couldn't stand by and watch children die when he could do something about it. He rushed towards the doors trying to make it before it was to late but it caved in before him forcing him to take a step back as the house burst into flames, he hissed the heat meeting his flesh as once again he tried to enter until he backed up knowing it to be far to late.

It wouldn't stop with the house, Azrae's hand would lash out and pull Romal back into the tight circle that had shaped itself beneath her feet. Blue flames began to lick at her skin, the stability of her mind and body projecting her powers outward. The static around their immediate area began to pull her hair and his to stand upright and point skywards. The flames grew and a circle of power etched itself on the ground beneath them. This circle licked into the ground was not of fire or salt, it was carved out and crystallized; more and more shapes intertwining around each other. Stars, moons, and suns all taking shape. Each element represented elegantly with a sigil. It was evident that she was not in control of her powers and surroundings, and the circle prevented them from falling into the sudden pitch black void that swallowed trees and toys. It began to reach for the skies. "He sold my house... mine..."
There was a possessive tone to her voice and her body hunched in on itself, her hair pooling around her and creating a void within the circle. If she didn't snap out of it soon they would both be swallowed up by that darkness, but it didn't matter. Azrae's hair slithered and crawled up Romal's form, by way of his legs and spread out to the rest of his torso. It soothed the burns he had received, a small opening in the madness that was quickly shattering what was left of Azrae's psyche.

Dragged into some sort of circle he stumbled looking at his feet as everything began to change for the worse, he had seen her lose it before but never like this. "Azrae stop this now" he bellowed above the cracking and moaning of the earth which threatened to engulf the both of them. Having only just escaped the clutches of the beneath he had no intention of returning again without a fight and he soon realized that as nothing reached his friend he might very well have to fight her. He turned to face her his hands shooting out to grab her shoulders without much care for what touching her might do to him, they would both die anyway if he didn't think of something and he knew he couldn't blast her with energy not like this she would just take it on. He shook her shoulders as violently as he could shouting at her to stop what she was doing before it was to late and with a last ditch effort he pulled one of his hands back and away curling it. Looking upon her with a guilt stricken expression he crossed his fist through the air with enough force to bring her down his knuckles aiming to strike against her temple.

Even if she had wanted to stop, her body was acting on its own and her power was leaking out. Like the earth called to her and the darkest pits of Hell were where he powers stemmed from; drawing her closer. Her breathing became labored, though she refused to stop. Everything she had believed in had been torn down and stripped, torn to shred right off her flesh and bone, leaving her like an open wound. Raw and weeping into the atmosphere.
Her eyes slid up towards Romal, his voice fell on deaf ears and she growled like a dog straight out of hell. Her hair tugged at him, sinking him into the darkness with her; but then he struck her, just as the smell of sulfur, fire and brimstone began to waft up towards them; the gates of the Nekromanteion began to appear before them. He would remember them well, she had used them to get him out when she was pregnant with Micah before any of them knew. The day that Hades broke her apart, and killed her, limb from limb, the skin melted off her bones. Thankfully he stopped them, her eyes rolling back into her head, she fell over from the blow. The contact broken with the ground severing the power that Hell was drawing from. Reality snapped loudly and they were flung back, her body colliding with a nearby tree and rendering her unconscious for the time being. None of the cracks on her body appeared to be healing, and her skin was pale. A crater lay where her house once stood, black veins feeding silvery light into the center and seeping down below.

He didn't want to hurt her but there was no other choice she was going to push things to far and take him with her. Panic had coiled up deeply in his belly at the thought of falling back into hell Nero would have him for sure and the thought crippled him with dread to the point he was almost happy when Azrae went down under the power of his fist, he had never wished her injury but he couldn't help the relief that flooded him as it started to undo and the gates fade away from them. For once he had made her safe even with the cost.
He was about to grab for her when the force of reality threw them both a part. Flying through the air he waited for the impact to come and when it did he slammed to the stump of a tree his back bending around it with a snap, the air leaving his lungs as his body twisted painfully and disgustingly over the angle. Twisting to the side he dropped onto the floor waiting for his bones to snap back into place as he knew they would when he was still partially in his demonic form. When they did blood burst from his mouth in a gagging cough but again he could move and he raced onto his hands and feet crawling like an animal to Azrae. Reaching her he pulled her into his lap his hands going to run through her hair and cradle her face. "Az?"

After the initial shock wore off she began to shift, the ache on her temple making the rest of her head throb. Her eyes fluttered open at the feel of someone touching her and in the moment of confusion she whirled, shoving her elbow onto the person's chest and with her own weight pressing them up against a tree. Her arm slid up, elbow pressed into the throat of her assailant, the energy crackling like a lightning storm along hair, limbs and inside her eyes. The cracks to skin oozed with blood and then healed only to open up again.
It took a moment for her to realize who she was attacking and she took a step back, reigning in the current of her energy to keep it from further charging him. If he kept in too much energy he'd go as crazy as she did, looking sheepish but not repenting she touched at her face, wincing when her fingers brushed her temple she turned to look around, seeing a crater where her house had stood. "What happened? Where's my house?"

It seemed to take forever for her to wake up and he was glad when she did despite her following actions. Again the wind was knocked from his lungs as she connected with him to then pin him to the tree by his throat, he didn't need oxygen but he did need his blood flow and his mind became fuzzy quickly enough on made worse by his heart pounding as energy ripped through him being fed into him from her reaction. His eyes bled through black his runes flaring but she quickly let go and he managed to gain a grip even though it was a weak one.
Rubbing his neck he got up onto his feet his concern from her in his lightening eyes as he watched her ask what happened, his head and back throbbed but he moved towards her again without a care that she could strike out once more in her confusion. "I'm sorry. There were a family there I think Damien sold the deeds or something" he moved to stand in front of her to block her view wondering what she would do with the news. "You sucked them into hell, opened to portal and nearly took us down with it"

Her confusion only deepened, she had no memory of ever arriving here. A hand ran through her hair and when he stepped in front of her, she looked away. The pools of her eyes became dark, a far away look entering them as she tried to piece things together. The news that Damien had sold the deed to the house made her want to vomit, and she ran quickly to the nearest bush, bent over it and began to throw up. Black matter left her mouth, falling like coagulated blood onto the ground, heavy and with a loud wet sound. After a few minutes she wiped her mouth clean with the back of her sleeve before righting herself but not yet turning around to face Romal.
"He sold my house... were... were there children there? I can't believe he sold my house, and my garden... What about Micah's things?" Hands balled into fists, the emotions making it hard for her to keep talking with the way they knotted in her throat. Her breaths came rapid and shallow like she was about to have another one of those episodes they had just gotten through. It appeared even the hell-hounds had run off.

His explanation only made things worse as he thought it probably would but he wouldn't lie to Azrae he never had and he didn't plan on starting to even when she ran away from him after he told her what had happened. He stayed put where he was as she was sick, she obviously needed to get what ever it was out and he wanted to give her a little room to let what he had said sink in. He frowned wondering why her husband would have done such a thing, he was beyond furious with the former oversight and would rip him in two were he to lay his eyes upon him again. That he was certain of.
"It doesn't matter who was in there" he tried to calm her seeing as things were heading south again and probably literally, he couldn't let it happen but he also didn't want to hit her again. "Maybe Damien kept them" he started to walk towards her not knowing whether she would tolerate him or not he decided he had no other choice then to try it. He took her by the shoulders then pulled her against him so he could hug her, trying to hold her together and stop her from slipping away from him again. "Stay here Azrae don't leave again"

Body tensing as Romal touched her, Azrae had to fight the urge to pull away. If she let him comfort her then she would lose her edge. She'd lose the anger and the hurt that she was feeling, and it would break her. But instead of pulling away her hands curled around his clothing and her face buried in his chest. Thick, hot, wet tears spilled from her eyes and she shook with the quiet sobs muffled by his body. Azrae had not allowed herself to cry since the very first time she'd disappeared, not since agreeing to move back into the coven as long as they kept her house. And definitely not since losing Micah.
But right now, Romal had done the one thing she needed and realized had been waiting for someone to do. He had asked her to stay, with all of her crazy problems. For a while she was unable to speak, just cry without restraint at everything and everyone she'd lost; clinging to her little island of hope in the shape of her best friend.

He tensed up ready for her to do anything to him he would take it in order to keep her and soon she relented against him burrowing into his chest to cry. His arms tightened around her, his chin resting on her head as his eyes fell to close full of sorrow and regret that things had ever come this far for either of them. He understood just what it had taken for her to cry and release her guard in such a way with him, he had never seen anything close to this kind of emotion from her and he could only hope that some how even though the pain she must have felt was crushing that it would some how help her.
He would hold her for as long as she needed him to, she had always been there for him and he had always been there for her it was how they worked, and he would stand there, their figures cutting a mournful silhouette into the dark woods until she was ready to move.

After a while she stopped, quieted and just leaned against him. Her body shuddered with the breath she took and then she pulled back, wiping her face with a laugh. "Sorry, I'm a bit screwy since I got out of Hell. Probably lost a few screw on the way up." Brushing her hands off on her jeans, Azrae looked around for the hounds, trying to keep herself busy and not get self-conscious about the fact she'd just cried like a baby in front of Romal for the first time since they met. "Where do you want to go, Mal? Maybe we should hunt down those sour gummies."
