The boy either did not hear him or ignored him. Brushing it off as something he did not need nor want to deal with right now Ajax moved on looking over to Genevieve who seemed to be stocking her plate. Maybe he had tired her out? The thought made a sly grin pass over his face which he wiped away with a slightly passive expression in the hopes she hadn't noticed him being so amused. "Hungry my love?" Nudging her shoulder with his own the vines hissed happily beneath the material of his shirt, continuing to do so once some of her hair founds its way up to wrap around them.

A thin brow shot up slowly and a grin played along her lip line as Damien spoke to her. A soft chuckle fell past her slightly parted lips as she looked at him. The hand at the small of her back comfortable against the subtle curve that rested there. She let him lead her around the floor and smiled at him. She felt lighter since the rebuild and peace had come again to the city....
"I was. I do not think I have ever punished myself as hard as I did for what happened to everyone. Though now I have learned from that mistake and will not repeat it."
She said as he twirled her effortlessly around the floor. Long raven strands of silk fluttered around her back as they danced. It had indeed been some time since she and Damien had really had a chance to speak one on one. She enjoyed this time, and it showed.
