It was a chilly night within the city, giving away the threat of snow. It was all well for one like Baldur who now walks through the streets wearing his usual black pants with rave straps hanging off of them and a black leather sleeveless shirt that kept his shoulders somewhat covered. He never minded the cold, in fact he quite enjoyed it.
Tonight was a dreary night for him, his nerves getting the better of him at the fact that he had not seen his love Delyla since his return some time ago. He hoped to meet her soon to at least put his mind at ease that she was ok. Should she wish to discontinue their relationship he would forgive though it would be devastating to his heart. At any rate he makes his way now to the tavern where he felt the atmosphere would serve to calm him down. Pushing the doors open he makes his way to the bar, sitting at the counter and ordering himself a glass of bourbon and seven, accepting it when it was brought and taking a sip from it.
He has no idea what causes him to make his next move, however he projects a message to Delyla's mind saying "Please, for my sake, meet me at the vale tavern. I need to see you again..." the voice in the message being his own, laced with a mixture of guilt, sadness and overall desperation to again be able to look a the beautiful face he had fallen in love with before.

a man, obviously built for strength, and looking to be in his late twenties, sits atop the roof of a low building overloking the empty street. long purplish-blue hair hung to his mid back, swaying slightely in the breeze that came from the heght. red jeans and a sleeveless shirt took the task of protecting him from the cold in what little way they could, decorated with a multitude of rave chains, two red bands on his left forearm, and two more over the right bicep. at his hip sat a double scabbard that held a brass knuckle and knuckle duster style two weapon.
Ares watched with bright red eyes as his younger brother, though he knew Baldur no longer recognized the relation, walked into the bar cross the street. a woman stood at his side and a step behind, watching him. she wore a pair of white jeans, comfy fit, but hugging her waist close, with a belt through only three loops, so i hung diagonally down on the left side and no shoes. a white dress vest, the front tips just to the sides her belly button, which was pierced with a single balled loop, with the rest curving into a crop that stopped halfway up her back, and a simple white fur coat that hung around her shoulders provided her top. hair white, neck length, and feathered, swept a cluster of red hair, grouped in a single strand, from left to right across her face and half concealing it with the rest of her bangs. the outfit acented her curves nicely and even showed a decent bit of muscle tone, and she stood, seemly unaffected by the cold as she watched him with bright crystal blue, almost white, eyes.
"Ares" she said to break the silence. as soon as her lips, perfectly the same color as her eyes, part a thin, very thin screen of what looks like steam looses from her mouth "what is it?"
after a oblviously purposeful pause, he answer in a low voice and without looking away "nothing. go to the coven and get some sleep"
"but-" she begins but he cuts her off in a completely different voice now. one that holds the sting of authority. "go!"
she falls silent imediately and turns, walks to the opposite side of the building, and with a final look behind her at him, steps off the edge and disapears. as soon as shed gone, Ares stands and does the same on his side, landing ight on the sidewalk in a crouch, stands and walks across the street into the bar, with no witnesses outside.
once inside, Ares finds his target and srolls casually over to the bar, sits beside his little brother and calls for a bicardi and coke, to drink in silence, planning to not be suprised if Baldur leaves just after blowing the place up, but hoping otherwise.

Baldur knew his brother's footsteps, his scent and his presence, he didn't need to turn around to know it was Ares who approached and sat next to him. To the others the two would seem unmistakably related though Baldur's form was much leaner and built more for speed and dexterity. The events revolving around his disowning of his brother played fresh in his mind, but he'd keep this in check for the sake of leaving their identities as dragons high in the hierarchy undiscovered.
A soft draconic growl rises in his chest as he sips casually on the drink he had ordered. Since he had left this last time he had time to think things over and, in a sense, mature when it came down to it. He would sit in silence, Ares being one of the last people he had expected or even wanted to see at this moment since he still had not seen Delyla, the point of this trip to the bar having been to remedy that. Finally he would take a breath in and let a sigh pass through his lips. "Ares...Long time." comes the simple greeting, his voice having become slightly deeper since he had last spoken to his older brother.
Again silence fell for a long while as Baldur collected his thoughts. "You know...I was an idiot to turn my back on you as my brother. I realize that now. Had a lot of time to think and...well I wanna take it all back." he finally looks over at the other male next to him, his eyes having grown a dark violet color over time. "I realize it was for my own protection from our dead beat dad. I suppose I should thank you for that, but I won't. Still ripped me apart" he shrugs and takes another swig from his drink, finishing it and ordering another. It was looking like this was going to be a long night so why not? "I know it's too late to take everything back. But I would like things to go back to how they were before Des came between us." he would fall silent again and allow Ares to have his chance to speak now.

the words he heard played in his head over and over. this was almost literally the last thing hed expected Baldur to say to him. but then again, it had been some time sense theyd spoke to each other with anything but their fists. as his brother spilled, he swished his drink back and forth within the glass, staring at it. when he stopped, so did the drink.
the silence dragged on in the air. Ares continued to stare at his glass, mulling over this bit of revelation. normally hed quickly grasp hold of such a straight forward concept, but this time it put him in a minor state of shock.
without a break he downed the entire drink he held at once. the glass hit the bar, and then he spoke. "thats. actually the best news ive heard in a long time." his head, from the hanging position it was in, tilted over and set dark red eyes on those of his brother and he smiled. "but" he said abruptly as a frown invaded and his head rose "you are not the only one at fault. there are many ways that i could have gone about the thing better"

Taking in the words his brother was saying to him he would stare off behind the bar, sipping lightly on his drink as he thinks. It was true he had been thinking about this for some time but now he was actually acting on it. He had really not even expected to see Ares here in truth but was somewhat relieved he was.
Heaving a slight sight he nods, casting a sidelong glance towards the other male, "I know damn well you're at fault here too, but I was the on who over-reacted. You're the only family I've got that doesn't want me dead or is already passed...I was being a typical stupid youth then. Plus if it weren't for that happening I would never have gotten with Delyla who I've come to regret not treating as I should have. I leave too often without warning her and expect to return to have her still loyal to me...I wouldn't be suprised if she hadn't moved on." He ends his statement with a shrug. It felt like his world was being torn apart all over again but fixing things with Ares certainly was giving him something to hold on to.

Ares chuckled, humorless and kinda broken, probably not the appropriate response but he couldnt help himself as he raised his hand to call the bartender for another drink. "yeah. well. that might be happening a bit more often in the future." and then he was frowning again. all seriousness "there seems to be more of our 'family' that wants us dead"
he fell silent as his drink arrived, and downed it at once again before ordering another. "there's been a mutiny on our world, my entire court, save one other than myself, is either dead or turned traitor." his third drink arrived and this time he took only a sip, a large sip, but still just a sip "its why im here. not here specifically, but in this world. seems you and me have become public enemies number one and two again"

A small lump sits in her throat. Having walked in on the end of Ares speaking. Knowing his voice well she knows then that Baldur is with him. Biting her lip slightly she frowns a little. Standing near the door, or at least she thinks..she clears her throat softly.
