She shrugged a little. "I may have accidentally knocked him with my elbow when he got a little to close." Eve stuck out her lower lip in a mock pout but it was soon a smile when the man murmured under his breath about tricky tourists. She turned her head and looked at him "Run along little dog before something else knocks into you.." Her words dripped from her mouth like venom.
The man grumbled and spat blood on the ground again before taking a step back. "I'll be seeing you again when your macho man is not around." She smiled "Oh, I look forward to it. Now run home.." She motioned him off so that she and Ajax could continue their day.

"Well he was a peach wasn't he" Ajax smiled not giving the man much thought at all as they made their way back across to the table where Eve had left her food. Pulling the chair out for her to sit down he slid her back in before taking his own seat only asking for a water when someone came to check that he had been served. "Seems you have had a relaxing half hour without me"

She thanked him for pulling her seat out for her after she sat down. "Oh well you know me. Never fun and always boring." Eve chuckled and continued to eat the rest of her fresh food. "Did you find something to eat?" Her hair relaxed around her and moved gently over her skin.

He tapped at the table nodding to the waiter who came over with a glass of water nearly pouring over with the amount of ice they had shoved into the glass. He sat and watched as it cracked and slowly melted away while Eve ate. "Yes, an old male, lost his sanity many moons ago. He did not even know what had happened to him before it was all over"

Eve nodded her head, glad that the man did not have to suffer any longer with his insanity. "Probably the best for him if he did not know what was reality and what was his mind playing tricks on him." She scooped out some more of the civeche and placed it on a fresh piece of pita bread that accompanied the meal. She preferred the raw food over something cooked but the seafood cooked in a citric acid played the trick on her mind that she was eating raw food.

"Yes it was a nice easy transition into what ever the afterlife had waiting for him" he mused leaning his chin against the table to watch the ice further. "This land is a strange place indeed. So many smells so many different kinds of human walk these streets. The back walks are disgusting compared to out here"

"You should not be surprised by that. These places appear to beautiful but behind the curtain disaster and even poverty show their ugly faces." She turned her head to look around "You can even tell by their clothing. They seem happy though despite knowing what they have to return to at the end of the day and that is all that truly matters to them." Finishing the last bit of fresh pita bread, she savored the time they had to just sit and watch the goings on.

"Such a simple life" he responded about the humans. They faced plenty of suffering just as his own kind had to suffer yet there was always a light at the end for them whether it be a welcoming hand or the hand of hell. "Such fleeting ones" he smiled looking back up to her as she finished her food he moved his hand across to her seeking to link his fingers through her own. "Why did you never choose a mate before you came here?"

His question took her a back. But she silently thought about what he has asked her and in reality it had never truly dawned on her why she had not chosen anyone. "Perhaps no one met my standards..." She then shook her head, dismissing her own statement. "No. I was never in the right place to accept a man into my life as a mate. I was raised to distrust everyone, especially those who say they have good intentions. I was raised to be a killer and a killer is what I am..But when I came here the traits I so normally would have needed seemed to fall to the side.."

He could not stop a small smile at what she had said first even though she brushed it away as quickly as she had uttered the words. He then listened to her reasoning and nodded. "Surely men were interested in you before I. So why on earth would I be the one to choose?"

"To be honest I do not know if any men were truly interested in me but I was also a loner. As is in my ways. Other men more so disgusted me. I was used to the assassins, to the beings who could get inside your head without a second thought and destroy everything you ever dreamed up, turning you into nothing but a vegetable..." She shrugged her shoulders at her own words. "There was, and still is, something about you that attracts me. I will never grow tired of your ways. You get me to laugh in ways I never thought were possible." she smiled thinking about his antics earlier with the brightly colored shirt.

He nodded understanding fully that she loved him with all that she had. He never doubted her when she said as much. And he hoped the same of her when he were to say such things. "Well its a good thing I love you then" he so seldom said it never finding the words matched the emotion and saying it in public was something new for him. Leaning across the table he kissed her without a thought of their display.

She smiled when he told her how he felt and when he leaned over across the table she met him happily and kissed him back. Her smile remained on her lips even after the kiss had been done. Uncaring if anyone looked and what their thoughts are. They could not stop the pair from feeling this way no matter what they did or what they said.

He moved back against his chair and sat happily watching her for some time. When it came to him he had never been interested in nothing more then one night stands before he had met Eve and she had changed all of it for him. "Would you like to walk the beach?"

Eve had taken a long pause to decide if the beach was the best place for them to go. Or if she wanted to go somewhere a little more private.. She gave a smile before raising up from her seat and to walk over to him. "A walk on the beach sounds wonderful.." That would probably mean the closest she would get a large body of water without needing to be sedated.
