The Dark Within

[Ceverus]

The realm was in disarray from recent events, none that hadn't gone unnoticed by Ceverus. There was something about his creations that didn't sit too well with him and he wanted to get to the bottom of it. Some complained a soul was taken back and others that they had been attacked. Cev sits within his temple that he had made his home and reads over darkened scrolls his high preists had kept as records of the events of Lacrimosa. A troubled look came over his face, the hollowed crimson eyes adding a bit of sadness to his expression. "What has been going on since I left?" He says to himself, there were many details left out, rising in him questions that would need answering to at the very least put his mind to rest.

Inspite of it all there was a great feeling of joy to be returning to his home in Lacrimosa, eager to learn what he had missed and returning to his friends as well as the possibility of making new ones. Once his work in his own realm were settled he would make his appearance and welcome all with a smile on his face.

[Twenty-Six]

"TWENTY-SIX" was called over and over that it boomed around her, as her bare feet smacked hard against the black tiles as she ran quickly down the narrowed halls but she couldn't stop when she heard his footsteps steps hot on her tail but as she pressed against her chest a portal swirled open like a black abyss and stepped through it till she tripped through to the other side.

Falling hard onto her knees as she whipped around and stared a clawed hand reaching through only to disappear when the portal closed with a thunderous sound.

[Ceverus]

A sound of thunder? Here? No this wasn't right. Cev stands having heard the sound and walks to the entrance of the temple he was sitting in, his three lizard beasts standing around him. He steps out and makes his way towards the source of the sound as wraiths and shades alike start to stare towards the girl who had come through the portal, creeping ever closer as they tried to see who it was that had arrived and determine if she was edible or not.

It didn't take long for him to get there, though a large winged serpent seemingly made of the shadows themselves lifts its head to strike before Cev's voice bellows out. "Stand down and return to your homes" his voice seemingly multi-toned as though it were ten people speaking rather than one. He approaches the girl who had apparently caused the commotion, a brow raised as he looks down at her. "This is probably the worst place you could have stumbled upon..." he says, his voice returned to normal since the rest of the creatures had slunk away. He stoops slightly, bending at the waist and offering a hand to her in order to help her stand. "Come child. I'll bring you somewhere safe." he says with a slight smile.

[Twenty-Six]

Lifted her head up in a movement that seemed overly sluggish and exhausted as well and when the Dark Green hues feel on the creatures of shadows her powered beats rapidly against her cheat as she fell onto her back end pushed the bare heels into the solid ground and back crawled quickly till her back smacked into the hard surface of wall a scream was caught in her throat.

Eyes moved quickly towards the voice and blinked repeatedly at the extended hand and grasped quickly and tightly as she pulled herself up and skirted behind him "Sorry....Sorry"

[Ceverus]

As the horrified girl scurries behind him he cranes his neck to watch her, his own forest green hues watching her. "Do not appologize, child. I opened the gates to all with the warning of my children. Come, it's not safe for you here." he says as he turns and rests a hand between her shoulder blades, guiding her up the steps to his temple, his lizard escorts not far behind. Once inside he waves a hand towards the entrance, causing a barrier of darkness to cover the doorway. "You have stumbled into the shadow realm. Not what I would consider a great place to be." he says as he makes his way to an upholstered chair in a section of the antechamber set much like a living room in a mortal household. He motions towards the couch next to him. "Please do sit down. You seem exhausted and I would much like to know why." he says with a slight tilt of his head.

[Twenty-Six]

Following his lead up the stairs but kept looking over her shoulder as if waiting for him to find her, but forcing her eyes towards the doors of the temple as they entered into his home "He can't follow me into other realms" keeping her eyes casted down as she took a sit "I didn't mean to come here the portals just take me anywhere" the thick mass of pink hair was like knee length curtain that sway gently over face keeping it completely from sight only glint eyes only thing seen.

[Ceverus]

He nods towards her once as he listens to her speak. "Who is he? Why do you fear him so?" he says as he sits back in his chair, looking her over to asess if she had been hurt. Once satisfied she was physically ok he shifts slightly in his seat. "Do not be afraid, my dear. You are safe within these walls. Can I get you anything? Something to drink perhaps?" he says with a slight tilt to his head.

"Well given the circumstances being you're arrival, I'd say it's a good thing you did come here." he says offering a reassuring smile. "Though should you like I could bring you to a place less...dark, shall we say...once you have recovered." he says as he watches her carefully. He couldn't help but be curious as to what was hidden behind the curtain of hair.

[Twenty-Six]

“My creator, father or master either one he is the very reason my once dead heart now beats with life, but I want freedom and to live like everyone else” nibbling on her bottom lip and rolled it back and forth between her clenched teeth as she shifted her gaze from the ground and looked up at Ceverus “Drink of water, please” with a bow of the head after speaking.


“He lives in hell and is chained there, he can only come onto earth where other realms are out his reach” waving hand inside the temple and smiled but with the little movement the hair slowly drifted away from the face leaving it in sight the only thing noticeable was the two numbers under both eyes –Twenty Six- turning her head onto the side “Thank you again how can i repay such kindness, I have no money but i can get some.”

[Ceverus]

He nods at her request, waving a hand as a pitch black figure, appearing to be a silhoette of a human approaches from the darkened corner with a tray containing a crystaline glass of water. This the figure offers to the girl only to disappear as quickly as it had appeared. "You wish freedom. It can be granted if you know whom to ask."

When she explained where her creator was he lifts a brow. "Chained in Hell, you say? Then he would be under the watchful eye of Jinko, the one who conquered Hell and took it for himself..." He muses before looking at her now revealed face, "The numbers...under your eyes. What do they mean?" He asks, moitioning towards her.

"No repayment is necessary, my dear. It is in my nature." He says waving her offer of money away. "Besides, I have no use for money. I care for all who enter this realm void of harmful intentions."

[Twenty-Six]

Gazing at the shadowy figure who had appeared out no where and when she coiled her hand around the glass of water and took it from the tray and watched intently as the human like shadow left without a words eyes blinked twice before shifting the dark green hues on Ceverus.

"I'm but one of many creation and last, and the only one that lived" eyes blinked with her own curiosity as she turned around on the seat and faced "Are you magic man? And no one can give freedom" tilted her head back and stared at the ceiling but sided glance kept him in her sights.

[Ceverus]

"You underestimate the immortal kind." He says simply. "I'm sure I could speak with my old friend Jinko about keeping a stronger hold on the one who created you. Or even kill him..." He says pensively as though death were a common topic to him. "I am not magic, no. I am the creator and ruler of the Shadow Realm, where you now sit within my temple...Well, I will be ruler again in about nine hundred years." He says with another shrug of his shoulder.

[Twenty-Six]

Wonder and questions swirled likea light green but the darker colouration was more pure in.the eyes which settled on Ceverus eyes "I wish not to burden you with such problems" stopping still in.her movement as gist words repeated over and over inside her head before she jolted up and positioned herself into a formal gesture of bow "Sorry" was all she repeated as the eyes casted upon the ground."Now how shall repay you?".

[Ceverus]

"You have entered my realm, thus indirectly entering Matashina territory of which I am sworn to protect. I will personally see to it that those who reside here are safe from harm. That inculded yourself." He says almost sternly. "Please, just trust me." He says in a softer tone.

He chuckles in amusment at her sudden change in demeanor. "Please, you don't have to be so formal with me. And I've already said, don't trouble yourself with repayment. You're safety is payment enough, child."

[Twenty-Six]

Keeping herself in that position as listened at his words before straightening herself up from the.bow and looked him in the eyes and could feel the truth in his words and also saw it in his eyes and"You are man of your word and that i can.trust" returning.to her seat "Why protect someone you barely know?" giving the full gaze at him.

[Ceverus]

He nods once, reclining back in his chair slightly. "Good, now just sit back and relax. Seems like you've been through alot." He says with a warm smile. Her next question caught him a bit off-guard, though it was expected. He thinks over his answer carefully before speaking. "It is a part of the title of protector. Don't be mistaken, that doesn't mean I do because I feel obligated to. I do care about most living things. I say most because there are few who have managed to irk me to no end, thus invoking my hatred. Rest assured, child I am a caring being, in spite of the realm I have created." Offering another smile as he speaks, moving black bangs from his eyes.
