Ariana sat near the springs fine tuning the new bow that she had made. There were the deep garnet stones in the wood that looked as though the wood had grown around them rather than the stones being paces in there recently. Freier, the pegasus that had taking to her, and she him, was sleeping in the shadows nearby. Mandre, the peregrine falcon nearby as usual. The small fox who had been normally by her side was venturing further and further away as he grew up. It gave her the chance to relax, if not relax it gave her the time to finish work on the bow that she had spent so much time on.
A subtle autumn breeze brushed through the area. Lifting up leaves that had fallen from the trees in a small vortex close by. Bright honey amber eyes drifted to the swirling leaves. Enjoying the fall weather if only it was going to last a short while.
Peace never lasted very long in these lands..

The vampire was silent as he walked through the forest. Things were too quiet around these lands and he had been keeping to the shadows as per usual to watch out for danger that might be lurking in the shadows. Tonight it was he who was in the shadows as usual. Nothing was ever as it seemed. As was clear when he strode silently past the sleeping pegasus and the peregrine falcon that had nestled in a tree.
He watched Ariana quietly for a few minutes before stepping into her line of sight. "Don't bother raising the bow up Ariana, it is just me." He spoke up as he entered the opening where the moonlight shone brightly down on them. "It is good to see that you have a new bow. You just need to make sure it is perfect. There are a few humans in the woods believing they can catch a Vampire or any other supernatural creature. How about we use your talents. It appears you could use someone to fight with anyway."

Ariana nearly jumped out of her skin when Damien walked out into the light and spoke at the same time.
"Damn you Sevar."
She narrowed her gaze at him and released the grip on her bow that she had gotten so quickly when she heard his voice. Freier grunted and flicked his ears in dissapproval while Mandre, the falcon, screeched at being woken up.
Ariana finished working on the string of the bow as Damien spoke of the human hunters that thought about bagging themselves a few trophies. Without another word of acknowledgement to his words, she got to her feet and quickly placed the freshly sharpened hunting knife back in the sheath at her side. Holding the bow in the other hand, Mandre quickly took flight and headed out above them.
"Lead the way."
