The figure stood at the highest point he could find overlooking the Covenant territory, his eyes scanned the lands looking for someone in particular, curious to see how close his brother had come to be with the other Vampires, he had made sure not to keep tabs on his brother for the reason that all of his family had once been more than capable on their own to survive, this one especially so.
The tendrils of shadow that rose up from around his hooded being, whispered words of foreign and unkindly nature before a hand extended and the man sent them out to scower the lands searching for any sign that might give indication his brother was in the vicinity, so far, he'd come up dry though his time back in the convenants neighborhood remained fresh, he would bide his time and perhaps his brother would make things easier by coming to him, though somehow he doubted this. The hooded figure knew that spies usually followed him every where, his brother would be well aware of this too and likely wish to meet him in secret, if at all.

Blackblood straightened slightly from his perch, dropping from the tree behind the cloaked figure. His belted body made little to no noise from the drop, the only sound to note of his arrival being gentle thud of boots sinking into the soft soil, hardly leaving behind a crater. His shadows extended from the feet, and intermingled with the cloaked figure's. Static energies cackled darkly as shadows overlapped one another, Blackblood's shadows fighting for dominance. There was a simple gesture, a wave of his hand over the ground to recall his servant element, and they withdrew to the sanctity of his body. There was a pause as he remained behind the man, red eyes watching the back of his hood, waiting for the other to turn and face him. The arrival of the cloaked one in these lands was as noticeable as a bloodstained white shirt.
"Couldn't trust leaving me alone, could you?"
The voice was a little cold, though gentle on the ears for the time being. He had to be this way around him. Being soft was not an option around the elder, and Blackblood knew how to be heartless. But these lands, their need was not for the heartless, not for the cold of iced veins and cruel minded. These lands needed friends, and the vampire was here to offer them that. Blackblood folded loose arms over his chest, and fingers covered by gloves wrapped around his ribcage. The vampire stepped forward to stand beside the other, staring at the horizon, and all that lay beneath it. The ruins and the crumbling landscape marred by a war from beyond the grave, and Blackblood scowled a moment.
"Almost like home, isn't it? Only, these lands are not plagued by the same corruption that dwells within Arcane."

The smirk that crept over his expression would have gone unnoticed beneath his hood as he remained standing facing the covenant lands, his back to Black Blood as the other male dropped from the tree behind him and moved around to his side, "Marcus" so he had come to call himself for the time being, shifted only slightly to turn facing Black Blood only marginally, his eyes moving to look over the other before turning back to look ahead of the two.
"I heard rumors, some false though enough to warrant my attention, Brother. I'm not here to overstep your authority in our cause here, do not worry. My faith in you is as strong as it has ever been. I've noticed you've been making a few acquaintances here and imagine my surprise finding you in these lands, in the Covenants own. Are you part of their little family?".
He looked back to Black Blood, lifting his head only a little though enough for his eyes, riddled with the corruption of darkness, crimson watched the other, his smirk remaining. Black Blood had never failed to amuse him in the past, and never once disappointed him. The figure exhaled under a cold breath as he gauged the other for a time before looking away once again.
"These lands are nothing like our home land...You are right. It's not hard to imagine why Kenshu has made her place here. Still, I will not allow myself to give up on Arcane, the land is in my blood, much before the time of our reign as a Family. If ever there would be a piece of advice to lend you, not tainted as I am, it would be to ensure what happened to Arcane Sanctum, does not repeat itself here.".
"Kenshu, unlike myself, has a heart to give and after seeing her recently, it seems she's given it to this covenant. I pose no threat to these lands so long as what little is left of our family, remains unharmed...".

Crouching down low upon the highest branch while the tangled blossom of flowers and the cover of night kept her well hidden and the soundless movement as she crepted forwards and peared out through the smallest gaps of the flowers and scanned over the two figures but only one was familiar, but the other one was someone she hadn't seen in these lands before "How strange" was barest of whispers which was covered by the howling chill of the wind.

Blackblood had hardly turned to look at his brother when he spoke of the Coven, and his part of joining it. Red eyes moved over the to the corners as the head had turned only a fraction of an inch. He remained silent, listening to what the other had to say completely before making his answers known. Blackblood was pained slightly, though not visibly, as eyes wandered back to the horizon. They focused on the fires, and memories flashed through his thoughts as war screamed across Arcane. Although his brother had stayed in the capitol, and he, vanished across the continent to protect a frontline. He remembered what it was like to hear the death of his brother. Many died by his hand on that day, and the years after. Blackblood lifted one of his hands from his ribcage, staring at the palm as he opened and closed fingers to a loose fist repeatedly, and spoke once more,
"I am welcomed by their lands, yes, but as being part of their family, I would guess that it only goes so far as part of their tradition: to welcome all. I am a guest, nothing more, at the mercy of their generosity. However..."
The vampire paused, letting the hand drift back to be folded beneath his arm and against the ribcage again, yet another soft scowl marred his features. The vampire's face a much younger version of his dead brother's, seemed almost to reflect. He wondered why fate chose to award him such a face, and reassured himself it was for others of the bloodline to know that he was family.
"War cannot be avoided, by any land, nor its occupants. It can be delayed at the very most. I plan to offer an alliance between our lands. Though I help them rebuild, I will not use my efforts as leverage or bribery. I hope that our kindness is remembered, even if the offer of allegiance is not taken. Our home will need much done, but if you would allow me to do so, brother, I will reshape and cast the lands into a shining image. More secure, and beautiful than it has ever been before. And I know it must pain you, as it does me, to see that land burn. But, to see it rise, we must sit idly, and watch it die. As a Phoenix from Ashes, comes a new and more beautiful life."
The vampire unfolded his arms, and brought one to the shoulder of the cloaked figure, resting the wiry hand over the shoulder. There was a light squeeze, and shadows cackled about them. Blackblood looked over fully at the cloaked head, with his own tilted back slightly. The scowl no longer tainted his face, and inside his eyes was a gleam that had long ago once been covered by a mask. Although his lips hadn't moved, the man was smiling in those eyes and it was as obvious as a full moon in clear skies.
"You may rest assured, brother, these lands will not be tainted by our wars. If I must, I alone will stand at our borders to keep it from overflowing. I will not rebuild our sanctum here, for war would surely follow in our wake. Our house bears that name, and calls to it. That is our curse, but those who are taken by this family, also know what our name means. They accepted it. Kenshu belongs here. She may have held the name of our family, and perhaps still holds emotions for the family, but she is no longer of our lineage. No harm will come to her. I will see to it."
The vampire squeezed his brother's shoulder again, before turning his back to the horizon. Eyes looked along the landscape behind them. They were somewhat far from the center of the destruction and this place seemed to be less touched by the initial damage. The vampire understood why of all places in the city He would choose to meet or call him here. This place had a hallowed touch, perhaps a grounds for something much more ancient than any in the land. Blackblood's shadows extended slightly from his boots, and spread along the grass and stone, tendrils slithering outward before rising like ragged flames of darkness around his body. The vampire looked over his shoulder, speaking again,
"Your shadows need honing, brother. Tighten their leash. Give them recognition and speak to them only when they succeed in their efforts of whatever task is given. Like people, they require feedback. But they depend on you much more than you would think. Ignore them, and they will be starved of your affections. That will drive them to be more effective. Speak to them only when they have won your favor, not your anger."
Blackblood rose a hand out to one of the tendrils, and fingers stroked the tips as hands would graze over fields of wheat, and his shadows hissed shrilly, each tendril reverberating in sheer ecstasy. The shadows, with a mind of their own, but enslaved to Blackblood, hissed again, turning rigid and sank to the ground. The slithered outward from his body, as an all-consuming vortex of darkness blanketing the land. Blackblood cocked his head, as his shadows acted like the two were threatened. His features looked around the landscape, looking for the unseen enemy.

"My shadows are not alike yours, Brother...I took the power that the Assassin so closely, religiously followed before I killed him but I do not stake claim over it's consciousness. It took time but eventually they saw reason and now...They enjoy taking a life almost as much as I do...They thrive on the chaos that follows in my wake...In the wake of what we truly are...They're of more use to me unchained and able to act on their own. The Shadows do as I will them too but they remain aware of their surroundings, of those that oppose us...It keeps them capable of thinking and acting for themselves even if I were to fall in battle...Which of course, we both know won't happen".
He chuckled darkly under his breath while turning his back on the Covenant territory, moving to step towards the tree line of the woods, intent on heading in the direction of Lacrimosa via a more...subtle approach.
"We will return to our home land together...And those that have defiled our name will suffer a great deal before I show them the mercy that only Death can provide...But not until you are done here. Do what you feel needs to be done but I advise you, don't allow yourself to get to close to anyone, don't show weakness enough for others here to learn how to manipulate you...In the end, only those of our lineage can rid Arcane of it's enemies...As it only should be. Rely to much on the aid of others and they will only use it to catch you off guard...".

A smooth and icy voice comes across then, an ancient by her own right Sauri stood not far from them, but respected their space. "If there is one thing I pride this coven on, it is that unlike others they so not exploit weakness or kindnesses done." She said, eyes black as the night glimmered with confident calm. "My brother and I, do not utilize this land for the hopes of getting something back. It is our way, of giving to.those who have nothing else to hope for." She said. Her slender arms crossed tight over her chest she took a step toward them. "Kenshu will not be harmed here, and that is a personal promise. I know the lineage she comes from, and what she has been through. I do my best to care for those here." She said, her voice calm, quiet..
"We have had enough war here to last us lifetimes." Her eyes narrowed softly. "Your presence has not escaped my attention, however I was hoping rather then have to seek you out, that you would have introduced yourself. For most of those here know of the ledgend of your family." She said, her expression calm, but serious and slightly distant for the moment. "As for me, I am Sauri, mistress of these lands."

"I know who you are...".
He spoke aloud in a darkly tone, eyeing his Brother a moment before finally turning to look across in the direction of Sauri Matashina, both hands rising to his hood and slowly pulling it back to reveal himself to the female addressing him. His hair was a charred white, swept back with black strands though it was probably the nicest of his features, the rest, the darkness in him would be more than obvious. His flesh stained, old and corrupted from the extensive use of using such powerful and deadly abilities he'd drawn from the Shadows, those of whom had turned their attention on the new arrival. His eyes glowed with an almost vicious nature, though his expression held nothing but a demeanor void of emotion, the figure moved to approach her now.
"Sauri Matashina, a Mistress of the Covenant and apparently a respected one across these lands...You know Kenshu personally, you've no doubt met her sister Lita and yes..I assume you know of their past and where they both came from...You also know who I am and that it is not the first time I've come to these lands...Though things have greatly changed over the years...I did not come to you because there is nothing I seek from you and certainly nothing you can give me. My business lies with my Family."

Tilted her head onto the side and watched both males and listened carefully to there words but as the time passed one would make his leave but her eyes narrowed in thought as the Mistress appeared and in that movement she dropped from the tree branch and landed neatly on her feet behind the Mistress and glanced towards Blackblood and slowly narrowed her eyes towards the other man.

The roof ices a little beneath her feet, feeling a margin of comfort when Adele lands behind her she never breajs gaze with the eldest of the Deaths. "Your sisters are quite lively and Iam honored to have them here. As for your, 'business' keep your many enemies out of these lands, or make another. I know this is not your first visit here, and should this one remain peaceful, I hope it is not the last. Should things turn for the worse however do not mistake that hesitation will not be present in ridding this city of those tainted shadows you carry. The enemy who hunts you for them has not gone unnoticed here." She said calmly as always.
"I am well aware of the twins past, thus I hope to give them a better future here. I will protect that with all I am." She said and turned a little. "Take only the life that is corrupt in this city. Your shadows drip with murder." She stated, as she looked at him. Small but fierce she was never truly alone wherever she went. She appreciated Adele staying, for she had great faith in the coven and all who lives in it.

Blackblood's eyes darted between both appearance of Sauri Matashina, and the revealing of Adele. The male lowered his gaze slightly to the ground, and kept his mouth shut. The conversation currently being held had no place for him. He was no fool. He wouldn't speak out of turn, either, lest someone be as disrespectful before him. The vampire was silent for a long time, as words began to fade from the world, distant echoes in the back of his mind. His stomach tightened, and he could feel eyes upon him for a moment before all attention was turned to his brother. A soft scowl covered over his lips, and he pushed the cowl from his jacket up to cover the grimace. He could be emotionless as everyone else appeared to be, underneath their skin were muscles coiled with tension, ready to strike if anything would happen. Blackblood was ready as well, but instead, simply, the male stepped away from his brother, walking back toward the horizon.
He stopped some distance from the edge, and looked down. His thoughts were his own, as was his voice. But now, the voice wasn't needed. Now, of all the damned times, a truce wouldn't be possible. His stay in the lands was coming to a sudden end, and he had only just begun to enjoy the time here. A hand left from his pocket and brought a clove cigar between his lips, using a Zippo lighter to ignite the end. The voices were fading back in as the conversation was ending, and inside his mind the thoughts began to stir again. Taking a long drag from the clove, he exhaled a plume of blue-grey smoke and folded arms behind the small of his back.

A subtle turn to Blackblood and she raised a brow. "Have you nothing to say on this? I would think you would. Your help at the estate, to me classifies you as a resident. Even if you think its temporary." She said, her hands unfold and she perches one on her hip.

The tone in which Sauri Matashina used when addressing Blackblood almost felt cold, as if the woman were scolding him. He paid no mind to the tone, and as he turned he freed the clove from his lips, tapping ash from the end. The man looked at Sauri, studying her in silence. He blinked a few times, before finally shaking his head. Pale lips had part quietly, and the vampire spoke slowly. The shake of his head was merely dismissing a thought to himself, and was extremely subtle, thought any vampire could catch the quick motion.
"My thoughts on the matter are my own. I have nothing to add to the conversation, as I was not fully aware of my brother's presence until tonight. I have not the eyes, nor the resources that your coven has across these lands. I have only my shadows, and they tell me only so much."
At the mention of their existence, one particular tendril slithered upward along his leg and swept out from beneath his belts. The tip nudged at its master's fingers, and the vampire wrapped them along the snout. There was an affectionate cackle of energy, before the tendril slipped back beneath his clothes, this time through and up the sleeve. Eyes turned back to the two women and then his brother. He lifted the clove back to his lips, and took another drag, this time leaving the filter clenched between teeth as he spoke once more.
"My help at your estate is repayment for allowing me to stay in your lands, as well as other matters that will no doubt rise to surface later. For now, it is best that I keep said matters to myself, and only to myself."
His gaze shot to his brother, and attention was given in full before another pause was broken in his statement, turning to Sauri and Adele once more as he spoke, addressing all three people present.
"As for what hunts my brother, should they strike in your lands, as they have already invaded, you have my word that no taint shall scar the lands at our fault. Should even the most miniscule source be corrupted, I will replace and exterminate by my own means."
His statement was not only a promise, but a silent message to his brother, in which it meant that if trouble came, he was to return to Arcane, and not stay a moment longer. Not even for the fight. At this point, Blackblood's subtle and steady plans had gone into a headlong downward spiral towards an inevitable failure if he was not careful. But time had never once been in his favor.

The hooded figure stood in silence, his expression a miss from their eyes as his face, fully covered in darkness as his gaze moved from each to the other, finally resting on his brothers form and smirking coldly to himself, somewhat bemused by his Brothers answer.
"Your Coven is safe, Sauri. I will stay my hand as I always have in my time of being within your territories, you've threatened me none to provoke any such hostilities and while that remains the case, so too shall peace between us guard these lands from unnecessary blood shed. How disappointed my sisters would be had I been provoked by one of your own and forced to shed the blood of our own race...Something I'd prefer to steer in the direction of the humans if needs be...Oh and for the record, I believe I heard something about blood banks during my time here...I'll let you know in advance, I prefer to take to the hunt, far more entertaining when they're still able to scream....".

The roof top began to thaw as she relaxed again. "Then I will tail you no more. Should you need anything I am never far away. as far as the humans go. Take only the tainted ans corrupted in that way. The law of this city and coven is strict on not killing the humans...nor harming them." She grinned. "Personally I like to leave them a quivering mess." She said and turned. "I don't tolorate unnecessary killing of humans here. Keep that in mind please." She said and turned to leave the brothers be.
