Because he had lost contact with Kenshu a few years ago, and so far did n't have much of a chance to talk to her these days the break up was something he didn't know, nearly tripping over xio when his mind hit one of these points where his mind would replay something from the last about the surroundings be is a bloody past or something about one select person, which like always caused him to recoil away from the wall, rubbing the hand that was in contact with it.

Shook her head at how stubborn Erebus was, securing her pack she waited for the men to go up the ladder first before following suit. She was the healthiest out of the three, to a degree and given her newfound abyssal friend could also travel great distances through shadows and darkness, but she wouldn't suggest that to either Daton nor Erebus. There was no way she was going to subjugate two friends to the will or some crazy, primordial demon bitch.

Gritting his teeth he managed to get all the way up before releasing a slow breath closing his eyes in pain quickly opening them before the other two got to the top of the ladder also.
Looking around he watched out for any ancients close by his skin heating up a few degrees as he waited just in case he needed to act quickly.
"How are we going to get to a harbour, the closest one is two hours away?"

once he was above ground he almost collapsed, the fresh air hitting him like a wave crashing against a cliff face, well, it had been weeks after all since he last breathed in fresh air.... that night scarred his mind and that would remain. "Well, I think thats simple... walk or steal a car... if there is a car, is there a car?" was his remark, which turned in to more of a question then any real advice.

"We... we can steal a car." Looked over her shoulder towards the two having taken the lead. Her eyes had wandered to Erebus' injured arms but she had said nothing to the way he had handled himself. There were times men needed to swallow their pride and she'd make sure to tell him as soon as they were out of danger.

"Stealing a car sounds good" he replied his mood now becoming dark with the pain he felt upon his arms but more so in his deeply injured back his climb having aggravated it.
"Lets go"
He didn't wait for Daton to right himself, he knew from looking at him that he would be able to get himself back up and onto his feet.
Walking at a steady pace towards a farm he spotted an old landrover parked in a lay by and made a move towards it.

"easiest way to bandage him up is to knock him out or threaten him with cashar's insane ways" He muttered as he used their voices and footsteps to follow them, keeping up quite well but once they were all safe he was going to be sleeping for days, maybe weeks after what he'd been through. It was an amazing thing that he had managed to put up with no such mental and physical torture for the time he did and remain.... partly sane. "I think there should be a car in the next mile... maybe two miles"

"Dibs on being driver. Erebus can either go in the back or call shotgun." Looking around she continued to follow Erebus, eventually they came upon the car and she popped the hood. There was no need to tell them she'd learned to hotwire cars during her days as street urchin. After disarming the alarm she opened the door and cracked open the dashboard, hotwiring it and revving the engine to life. "Hop in guys."

He watched her do her work in the car, without answering about the seating arrangment, he was going to sit in the back like it or not so he could have some room to inspect his back in the middle mirror.
"Well that saves me smashing the window, you little rebel you" he smiled for the first time since before the ladder.
Helping Daton up into the front seat he closed the door, then climbed slowly up into the back.
"Alright. Road trip"

Silently Daton got in to the front passenger seat, his tired body nearly collapsing on it, now feeling the strain of everything in the past few weeks, for a few minutes even falling asleep before forcing himself to stay awake till they were safe on the boat, he couldn't sleep now. It was only now when he wasn't acting crazy or moving about was it easy to now see just how much his body had been physically injured, and how much he hadn't mentioned.

Seeing the two men's exhaustion Xio slipped into the driver's seat without further teasing and began the drive to the harbor, her eyes felt gritty and her muscles ached but for the sake of not burdening the two she kept her complaints to herself. The loss of blood had been more than she could handle but still she managed to keep her composure and it was only thanks to her other side's stamina and a certain athame that she could keep from slipping into oblivion altogether. The corner of her mouth twitched, thinking of Cerverous while in these dangerous lands and just how easy it would all have been had the God been with them. It most certainly would have taken the pressure off Erebus. Glancing in the rearview mirror she looked towards the man in question with a quirked brow. "You're going to be good when we get on the ship and let me have a look at you. That's also not a question, debate or offer."

He was leaning back against the chairs when she talked to him. Opening his eyes he looked up at her seeing how pale she seemed he nodded he wouldn't fight her as long as they were at a safe location.
"Give it an hour, we will be half way then I will drive"
He closed his eyes again slowly. "Like you said no arguments, I drive. You rest"

Daton at this point was silent, his head resting against the door window, maybe he couldn't stay awake anymore or maybe he was just listening to the conversation while retaining his remaining strength, which wasn't much to begin with, but soon his own silence began to annoy him. "so... what happened after... I was taken?"

Scrunched up her nose and set her jaw stubbornly, but she knew that Erebus was right. She didn't have much left in her either, so she'd relent the wheel to him after an hour. He might want to catch Daton up on what was going on. "I..... Lots of rebuilding, burying of the dead as well." Sighed, keeping her eyes straight ahead after giving what little information she could give, leaving the chance for Erebus to make conversation once he took the wheel. After about 30 minutes the blood loss was beginning to take its toll, she'd blink every so often in order to keep the car steady.

Opening his eyes when he felt the car sway he pulled himself up using the seat to help him up.
"Ok pull over, I'm gunna drive now"
He didn't bother waiting for her to argue, taking his seat belt off he moved to open the door.
