I should have been dead, I saw it happen... someone changed the events of time by kidnapping me" Daton muttered quietly to Erebus, having great respect for the demon and hoped that respect was returned in the same manner, this was the reason he explained things like this to Erebus.

Upon returning she was dressed and in her human form, pack slung across her tosro. Seeing Erebus' state she moves over to him rather quickly. "We have a little bit of time, take your shirt off and let me see your wounds." While waiting for him to do as she instructed, she reached into her pack to search for the container with the flowery scented balm that she had used on him once already. "I have a few power bars too, it should keep your body fueled and going while we can get to a place where we can all rest. I know you could use it, Erebus."

"Yeah well Daton I probably wasn't supposed to come for you, Criston was supposed to be dead but he isnt maybe Agni helped us out" he shrugged leaning himself against the wall his back killing him large purple welt like bruises snaking across it from where he had hit against the pine tree.
"Be greatful"

Looking up at Xiomara he put the flames back up around them "I can't" he nodded to his arms, his wrists and hands badly broken, he had only just managed to carry Daton and that had worsened it.

Daton's thoughts turned from himself to Erebus, listening to the conversation between his friend, and the woman who was sometimes a cat that he didn't know all too well, raising an eyebrow as he used his weak state of mind ot see just what Erebus had been up to, and it made him cringe "Erebus, you should be carried by her this time, or at least walk a bit slower"

Xiomara unwrapped the power bar and broke it in half, walking up to Erebus she put the piece in his mouth while he was talking and with a no-nonsense look said one word. "Chew." While he did so she munched on a piece and handed the other to Daton, going back to Erebus she grabbed his broken wrist and reset them one at a time. Knowing it would be painful for the main, but having it be a necessity. From her pack she anointed his hands with salve, then bandaged them with linens that became hardened due to a chemical reaction between salve and cloth. Strangely enough it still allowed for his hands to be flexible, if he could move them. "I ran a few miles ahead and back, there's no one out there that I could sense. If we're going to move, we better do it now."

"Carried my arse, I would rather die dude" he snorted not one to he carried anywhere he had never let anyone do such a thing to him in his adult life time. "Thanks for the thoughts though little buddy i'm fine. Nothing that a shot of whiskey and a massage can't fix" he smiled never really one to admit defeat, though cold and ice were a different matter.

Being silenced as a bar of something was shoved in his mouth he did the only thing he could do other then spit it out, he chewed it eating it as the rather serious looking Xiomara had told him to.
"Actually not bad"
Silencing as she grabbed onto his wrists he wanted so badly to headbutt her for hurting him but he knew she was helping so he settled by biting the inside of his lip, so happy when she had finished he smiled. His other wounds were to many to bother paying attention to, he planned to keel over once they were all safe.
"Ok.. thanks lets get out of here huh?" inspected the strucures upon his arms.

Daton shrugged and ate a few bites out of his half of the power bar, thinking that xio sometimes was just as stern as a mother was with a child which made him laugh quietly, but only for a moment as he instead listened out, for any signs of movement, which was a natural thing for him, listening for the sounds of the breeze or the sea. "Yeah I think we'd better get moving before I have another episode of being completely mad"

[Xiomara]

"Can both of you walk on your own or would you like me to carry you out of here?" Slinging her pack and settling it she looked at Erebus with narrowed eyes, getting the feeling that the man wanted to harm her for being so bruttish with her arms. It just needed to be done and he would thank her when this was all over. "I'm also getting hungry, and neither of you will like me when I'm hungry, I get rather cranky."

"Ok Hulk" he responded with a little smile always having time for his own humor.
"I can walk, you might want to carry Daton though he is always so slow" he chided the smaller male as he now started to walk away leading the group so Xiomara could follow along with Daton.
"What type of transport shall we use?" he asked hoping what ever they chose would be kind to his injured back.

"shut it, old man" Daton muttered as if that really annoyed him, but it was just part of their humour showing through, Ereburs did like to have the odd dig and so did Daton, however for the moment at least he refused to be carried any longer, using his damaged mind's eye, which was a danger in itself to use right now.

"they would have already close the airports, boat is the easiest bet" He said, one hand trailing against the wall next ti him.

[Xiomara]

"A boat.... yippee..." The sarcasm was dripping off Xiomara's voice and she gave Erebus a once over from the corner of her eye before starting to move out, otherwise they'd both stand here talking til the Ancients arrived again. "I can't really complain I guess. With that much water surrounding Erebus, he won't have any other choice but to let me heal him." Looking towards the subject of her words, the cat-like grin was upon her features. A mad twinkle in her eyes.

"Oh trust me your more then welcome to" he replied the only admission he would make about the severity and pain of the wounds he had received, his body being majority human he had been no match for some of the blows given out by the ancients.
"I will be a good boy and sit still and everything" he laughed heading around a corner he was though managing to hold himself up high and steady being well versed in keeping up appearances and not allowing enemies to know there is a weakness.
"I tell you one thing though, bar the company I have kept over the years. I fucking hate vampires"

"right now, vampires aren't one of my favourite species to be around" He muttered, refusing to be carried this time, using erebus' heavy foot steps to get around without hitting anything or anyone "but I still miss kenshu" It wasn't surprising he missed her of all people, they shared a bond, they had similar gifts and after the display of a complete break down, he was showing hints that his personality was beginning to mimic her's as well.

"We need to take the next left, there should be a ladder there"

Looking back towards Daton she slowed her steps a little to make sure he wasn't falling too far behind. "I miss her too...She's not like anyone I've ever met before." There was fondness in her voice when speaking about Kenshu, in all honesty Xiomara loved that woman despite her crazies. "I met her during one of her episodes when it started raining all of a sudden and it was because of Vaughan. Soon after that we became roommates, Vaughan nearly bit my head off because I got in his face about being a tweedledick to Kenshu." Shrugged, taking the next left as Daton had instructed.

Soon she came upon the ladder with a frown, her eyes zeroing in on Erebus. "You're going to have to piggy back, Erebus. Your arms are pretty much useless right now. Pick your poison, me or Daton. Whoever you pick is climbing that ladder first since there's two going up at once."

He didn't join into their conversation with reguards to Kenshu even though he knew her very well and for years. He stayed out of it as he was also good friends with Vaughan and in no way did he want to get caught in ant cross fire over their whole break up.
Once they arrived at the ladder his dilema dawned upon him not needing the words that followed from Xiomara he shook his head.
"Like hell"
Walking to the ladder he carefully raised his arms to test his grip upon it.
