She wore a white dress, floor length and light all the more to stand out with, she had been there all day waiting. As the sun set and the moon appeared the light reflected from her flesh in an eerie glow something her skin had managed to perfect over the years when in the moonlight, she found it worked as a deterrent keeping people away from her, but equally it made her stand out to hunters, but she had long since worried about humans and their little attempts upon her life, they were flies to a spider.
Now she would call him, the darkness that she had waited for was for his benefit not her's. The sun didn't bother her in the slightest but she was unaware whether it would bother him. Bare feet rested upon the earth, toes curling in and out of the grass which twisted itself up her legs in a longing embrace looking for some sign of affection from the elemental. 'Well here we are'
If he didn't hear her then she would call again but she doubted very much he would miss her call, he had probably been waiting for it, as she had been waiting. Answers would be demanded from her, but maybe from him also.

As wind had blown across the fields, there was a small sound, like the fluttering of feet, and yet none could be seen. Slowly, from a distance, a ink-like blackness spread from the horizon along the ground, washed over the long, rolling hills. It had come all around Kenshu's white dress, though never did it flood toward her reach, straying only a foot or so from her body. A ripple came outward from her body, and the darkness sank back to a spot several feet from her position. At the ground, where the shadows had gathered to create a boiling mass, Blackblood stood, rising from the ground as if he were being lifted upon a platform from some secret tunnel.
With a new night, he had dressed differently, and even groomed his hair to appear as a stranger to any from the city that would recognize him. His hair was cut short, and dyed white as the pale moon, hanging in a soft bushy style over his scalp. He wore a red waistcoat over what appeared to be black leather armor that hugged his frame closely, showing off his muscled structure beneath. Over his hands, there were of course black gloves. His legs were bound in black pants, fastened over random lengths by black belts and buckles, with the cuffs tucked into boots. As though the waistcoat was first a trench coat, it had been split into two, and the tail was now apart of his belt. The male looked over at his sister, and bowed slightly before approaching. He did not wear the sunglasses now, but kept them hanging from a chain near the collar of his coat. Slowly, he approached his sister, and spoke, with his voice and not his mind,
"Good evening, Kenshu... How are you feeling?"

Fingers twitching at her sides as he slowly took form around her she wondered why he had chosen to come to her in such a way but it wasn't a question she was going to ask there were others on her mind, others that meant a lot more then such silly small talk. Tilting her head ginger curls strewn across her face, electric hues looking out at him her eyes narrowed only the slightest. She didn't answer his question, she never knew how to answer people when they asked such things of her. So she didn't even try.
"Why did you come here?"

Blackblood watched her electric hues with his own red optics. If it was not apparent before, he held striking resemblance to their mutual brother, when he was younger. Almost a twin, it would seem. Blackblood hadn't chosen that form, it was only how he was resurrected. There were minor differences. How he spoke and how his voice sounded, as well as eye color and other habits. As his question was disregarded, he made a small nod, not having much of a taste for the pleasantries either. Only when necessary. He folded his arms and hands behind his back, before approaching Kenshu.
"I came to prove to brother that I am ready to head the family. I will not stop here, as other lands must be explored. I came to find allies, should another war rise in our lands while we rebuild. I came also to spread my name, so that it would be known that KnOT no longer leads the Death Bloodline. It was by chance that I found you here, and heard of Lita's residency. However, I will not drag you back to Arcane. If you wish to come, it is of your own free will and none others'. If necessary, though, I may be looking for ... new additions to the family. We have suffered many losses."

As he began to move she watched him the howl of the spirits going up into the atmosphere as she strengthened her resolve to them, she wouldn't be able to hold them back long but she wanted a clear head for when she spoke to him and took in the information he had to offer to her. Scanning his face she felt something off just could not put a finger upon it. He was family that much was obvious, but he looked new to her, different almost stretched to thin over what it wanted to be.
"KnOT no longer leads Arcane?" Her lips pursed fangs pressing against the flesh that held them restrained. "Why, what happened, lands in war" Her head swayed trying hard to keep her thoughts in track to spiralling off as they did more often these days. "Losses.... wait you!" her hand rose pointing at him, although she was about to demand answers she would not still push through his mind and get them for herself. "You, did you make war? She scowled the moon vanishing beneath a haze of blacker then coal cloud. "Your real name?"

Blackblood paused in his approach, before continuing on. He felt the winds change in almost a more eery manner than he could ever have hoped to summon in his new body. He looked around him, before looking back at Kenshu and her demanding finger. At her accusations and her questions, he scowled. He stepped forward again, and paused, answering a question with each step.
"No, KnOT passed away during a battle with an assassin. He was then resurrected as something else, no longer vampire nor anything else. He has gained power, a deadly force that will eventually consume him."
Another step taken, and his eyes watched carefully of her actions, before locking once more against the electric hues that threatened not invasion of his mind, but obliteration of his body.
"The war was not of my doing. I was absent in its ignition across the lands, but after KnOT had been resurrected, he and the very assassin that killed him worked together to eliminate a threat that plagued Arcane... The Illuminati. He received help from others, and together the land was taken back. There were other wars, as well, some that I was not able to keep track of. But I know that Karne is dead, now. He fought against a rival of KnOT's, and life was taken from him."
With another question answered, Blackblood stepped forward, and took off his gloves. He raised hands for her to see, that they were not as normal vampire hands. They were pale, and in the palms were circles carved into the palms, each lined with a star and different runes that did not glow, but resonated a strange energy. Slowly, Blackblood moved to lift the breast of his coat, to show her what laid beneath. A smooth mask, cracked and broken, shattered into pieces and reconstructed to be nothing more than a frail memoir.
"My name. My name was not my own. It was a name for a pet, a pet that died when it had avenged KnOT's death. Who and what stands before you now, is Vex. Vex, The Blackblooded, Death."

He was getting closer to her with every word that he spoke, ever false unneeded breath that she took, she did not back up, her scowl did not fade there was so much she had not been told, anger started to bubble up within her threatening to spill outwards in a tidal fury, she fought to restrain herself from harming him, he was not the one she wanted. "His power, he is consumed by it?" She asked knowing well that her elder brother could some times lose himself within power and lose sight of what really should and should not be done.
She held his gaze as he spoke again, she would wait for the answers, interrupting only when she needed to, her body tiny in comparison to his, though her threat much more, even if she did not over intend it to be. The words of death did nothing but anger her more, she had left Arcane, left it because of such things but they would follow her, she always knew they would. And now they were, he stood before her as evidence of it.
Her hands moved when his did, she did not touch him, just shadowed his movements at the exact moments in which she made them, she would not trust someone she did not know whether they were her brother or something different all together. Looking at the mask she did not display a reaction, slowly looking back up to him. "And Vex, why does KnOT need you to take control?"

Blackblood slowly lowered the breast of his coat and stepped back a pace, turning his back to her. His thoughts betrayed him, how he'd last seen his brother. The condition he was in. He was powerful, like Kenshu was. But with his power, it twisted him, changed him. He was still KnOT, he was still their brother, but he was not as himself. KnOT was only a shell now, it seemed, a shell for the corruption within.
"He will be, if he is not already. It has been some time since I have last seen our brother. I believe that he recognizes he could no longer lead the family. With no other worthy successor in his stead, with a son stolen of him, he asked that I take the family, and bring them back from the ashes."
Blackblood then turned to face Kenshu, and his eyes had been stung by the pain within. He was not accustomed to the emotion just yet and he shut his eyes for a moment. He shook his head halfway to the left before he re-opened them.
"Why he asked me to lead, I do not know, but I understand why he said that I must prove myself. Compassion and love for this legacy is not enough to lead our kindred to the top. Experience and friendship must be had. There must be unity, and in that unity will come the strength to rise again."

The news of what her brother had become was of no suprise to her, she had seen it coming as with most things, but there was always times for changes nothing was ever set and she had always held hope that her brother and the head of her family would rise above what she thought he would become. With a crushing defeat she nodded realising that she should never have left him alone to his own will, she could have helped him. Now the family, what was left of it sounded to lay ruined, death following its path. Just as their family name had always foretold. "He was weak of mind, power hungry" She hissed her words, Angry with KnOT for ending up the way he had now done no matter what had happened.
Blackblood showing her pain caused no compassion or sorrow from her, she didn't know how close he had been to KnOT she assumed he must have been very close for him to be given such high reguard, so in her mind he held some blame for not ending it all. "The top!!?" Her anger errupted in the form of an explosion in the atmosphere, lightining sheeting through the skies, blinding. "Since when is it about being the best?"

Blackblood lifted an arm to shield his face from the outburst, both of the blinding light, and from the wind kicking up debris and dirt from the fields. Blackblood kept his voice calm, as not to further upset Kenshu. After a moment, he lowered his arm to lay back at his side. Though her outburst did almost cause him a great deal of damage, he'd nearly lost his footing with the gust of wind by the summoned storm.
"You misunderstand. I do not mean for our family to be the best, as a contest. Only to rise to the glory that we once had, to stand where we had at our pique. Alive, and ruling over Arcane as a powerful family, one to shape the future for the better. For our kind, and for the mortals. KnOT would see it otherwise, and have mortals be naught but cattle to feed our hunger, as they have grown arrogant and cocky. That is the war that brews back in Arcane, even after the Illuminati have been dispersed. The council has been destroyed as well. There is nothing but chaos left in Arcane, now! That land needs her family more than ever!"

It was her turn to step forward now she moved right up close to him, well within the distance where he would be able to touch her, though it was probably not the reccomended thing that he should do. She was ashamed of her family, what it had become and who some of the family members had become, if it were up to her she would raise them all to the ground. "Vex....." she pursed her lips a moment before she spoke again. "The Death family will never again rise to the glory it had, there is no soul left in it" she frowned there had never been soul but there had been love. Humans, she did not like them but she also did not like her kin mistreating them it had always angered her. "You wish for us to come back?" she pictured herself coming back. "You think that we" She prodded herself with an unforgiving nail, "We can change it?"

He wanted to hug her, he wanted to show her that he wanted the best for everyone. But in his current condition, and the current state of the family, he wouldn't be able to do that so easily. But that's why he was here, wasn't it? To bring them back, to help them, to rebuild... Blackblood lowered his gaze a little, before he brought it to Kenshu's attention. His mouth parted once or twice to answer her questions, but no sound had come out. He listened and thought really hard on what he wanted for once.
"I do wish for you to come back. I want us to be a family again. We cannot go back and change what has been done... But we can make up for it. We can do what we can to make things right for the future, and stop dwelling on the past. But, I will not force you to come. I will not drag you away from the Matashina lands. However, if I can get things to settle in the lands of Arcane, I promise you Kenshu, that I will not make the mistakes KnOT has, and I will come to visit you."
He chuckled a little, and hoped that his continued add on would help calm her, if anything make her laugh a bit,
"Whether you want me to visit or not."

Her answer would have been a plain and simple no, should she not have caught a glimpse of how he really felt, she didn't even need to search him for it. It was upon his face, laced within his words and with the very air that surrounded them. All of a sudden it added something else to her, torn in another direction so many had her she had never known what to do or what to say. "We live here, here is our family" She simply couldn't leave Vaughan even though they were no longer together she knew she couldn't and she would not. "But we will come to Arcane, we will come and see, help then we will leave"

Blackblood nodded to Kenshu, accepting her proposal with a gratitude he couldn't express with words alone, though he did not move to show it. He knew his touch would not be a welcome one. The male simply bowed, instead, and tucked his arms at his stomach and the small of his back, speaking as he lowered, and straightened.
"You have my thanks, Kenshu. But for now, I will work around your family, and your coven, to help them as you will help Arcane. I hope that we... can be what we were once before. That we can again call ourselves family, with a love that spans across the world, and cannot be broken by even the strongest magic, nor the hardest steels. Please, let me know if there is anything I can do for you."
Although he was to be the head of the family, he wanted everyone to know that he was as much a brother and sibling as he was their leader, so to speak. An equal, and not a superior. He would gladly give his life for any of them, should the need arise. But, if they grew to love him, and trust him enough, they would never need to ask. They would know.

She nodded angry at herself and at the whole situation, her anger towards him how ever had dwindeled but still remained a small ember to the fire which rages dangerous beneath her skin one day to escape. Electric blue hues look up at the skies releasing it from her anger it instantly began to clear the moon coming back into the skies with its glow.
"Do not thank us, we may make it much much worse before we make it any better" she clicked her tongue between her teeth. "KnOT will not be happy, not at all"
She started to back away a little. "You stay here now why? To try and take people away from these lands back to that city of horrors?"
