The Retreat

[Ventress]

Normally in times of stress, or just needing to get her hair down, Ventress would do to the club, and thats just what she did, pushing the door open of the silent building, the mass space empty, devoid of life... it was almost haunting, the dark changing how everything looked to something more sinister, less welcoming without the lights and music, and with everything that had happened, the destruction of the coven's home her mood was just as dark as her surroundings.

As the door shut the small amount of light was shut out, leaving the succubus in nothing but utter darkness, which mirrored her mood perfectly.

[Ajax Matashina]

He followed her in opening and closing the door a few minutes after she had done so. Having caught sight of her a few miles back he had followed the succubus inside.
"Ventress are you alright?"

[Ventress]

She looked to ajax, even in the darkness she could clearly see where he was, ans suspected he could see her just as clearly. She shrugged her shoulders at first as she had another look around "How do you think I feel?" She asked in a low tone of voice, quiet, partly depressed.

[Ajax Matashina]

"I didn't ask how you felt I asked if you were alright. I saw that you were injuried in the attack"
He crossed the room going behind the bar he looked through the drinks. Not much of a drinker he didn't have a clue really what he was looking at alcohol always seemed to pointless to him. However he was in the worst mood of his life so it seemed no matter.
Picking up the closest bottle, a bottle of Jack Daniels he opened it drinking from it.

[Ventress]

"its the same ting is it not, and judging by your sudden need for booze your mood is little better then my own" She said, remaining where she was where she could comfortably rest for a few moments before even thinking of moving about again.

[Ajax Matashina]

"Not the same thing at all" sitting down he opened his cigar tin setting it all up he lit it taking a very slow long inhale from it before he returned to his drink.
"I can not explain my mood or my emotions only what I know. And what I know is that I should have not opened this place ands doomed them all to death"

[Ventress]

"it was their choice to come here, just like it was mine to come back after going away the first time" She said as she tapped her nails against the table she was sitting by "take some comfort in the fact they weren't prepared to leave, they liked it here, and take comfort your sister survived as did your girlfriend" She added, sighing at the word 'girlfriend', but soon shook it off.

[Ajax Matashina]

"Yes but many did not survive and probably expected that they would be well protected within these coven walls as my hosts" he put some ash into an ashtray close to him.
"Its all done now though" he sighed.
"I am sorry that your seer friend has gone missing I hope the flames did not claim him"

[Ventress]

"I saw them take him, so I expect his corpse to be thrown in to town any day now" She said in a tone that seemed to bubble with anger, even a light bulb exploding just above her as she spoke "but there ain't anything I can do, right, I don't know where to go looking, and not like I'd get very far with a bunch of old gits blocking my path"

[Ajax Matashina]

"Why do you not ask the other seer for help?" he asked knowing there was at least one more within the coven.
"I am sure there are plenty able to track. I can not leave this land not at the moment just in case there is a secondary attack"

[Ventress]

"... I don't want to talk about it any more" She muttered, seemingly sinking in to the seat a little, falling silent as did her drumming fingers like she was no longer there, or no longer wished to be noticed, to just fall in to the shadows, but of course that wasn't possible so she just remained eerily quiet, but would listen if spoken to.

[Ajax Matashina]

He nodded replying with a simple 'alright' he drunk as much as he cared to drink, enough to make him feel warm which he had not felt since Genevieve had seperated him from the Gods.
"If you wish me to leave you alone, I will leave you alone" putting the bottle back he got up from his seat and began to walk back across the deserted dance floor towards the exiting doors.

[Ventress]

"its not my place to tell you go to or stay" She said, finally speaking after a good few minutes, but she still sounded dark, angry, almost as if she wanted to hurt someone, but she wouldn't ever strike someone without a reason to, even if that urge was there. "what does it feel like, ajax, being with someone you truly care for?"

[Ajax Matashina]

He continued walking ready to leave her there alone in her own company to reflect upon her own feelings and thoughts but he stopped as she began to speak again asking him a question, one he had not expected and he was lothe to answer. He answered anyway knowing what he said would be in confidence.
"Frightening"

[Ventress]

"frightening?" She asked, turning to face the door now, a peak of confusion written all over her face that was topped off with a risen brow "why is it frightening?" She added as she lit up a cigarette, which was the first she had been able to have since the huge battle, because it had been the only one she had found in the streets, as the shops were.... dangerous at this moment in time there was little option for her right now.
