A new chapter

[Caine]

it hadnt been much more then forty eight hours as Caines eyes opened, his sleep restless and constantly disturbed by the pain of his chest. His brothers and erebus had done a decent job helping to draw the shards of wood from his chest but he was still healing from the wounds that littered his body.

Stifling a yawn he rolls onto his side, the cool sheet gently laid upon his lower half. pearlescent glazed eyes focusing slowly. Having Sauri near him kept him calm, though there was still tension over the most recent events. He watched her with a soft gaze, his mind elsewhere

[Sauri Matashina]

She was still very pale and weakened. Though she had fed, she was still so very tired. She slept hard, her hair splayed around her and on the pillow. she had a peaceful expression, but her dreams were anything but. she had terrors, of the time Daedalus had shown her the coven, burning and in chaos. she didn't heed his warnings...confident she could protect her home... She groaned softly in her sleep, as small lines of worry began to show between her brows. She slowly tensed, and a deep low hiss left her. she relived the horrors in.her dreams, watching though...helpless to fight...to do anything. She woke screaming then, eyes wide with fear...she looked around swiftly not haven gotten her barrings yet she felt her cheeks, wet...tears? Yes, it had to be. She cried softly, unable to hide her sadness any longer.. "Caine.."..

[Caine]

He watched the twitch of her brows, the disruption of her beauty by the horrors of her dreams. As sauri began to tense in her posture Cain slid his hands around her waist, though she suddenly shattered the silence with a terrible scream. It had taken him by surprise, Caine flinching with a shock before he pulled her closer to him. Sobbing as she spoke his name he wrapped himself around her in a protective hold, kissing her forehead ever so gently
"Its over now babe...its over" he murmered, though he knew too well that they would all be left with the burden of memories. He ignored himself as he laid against her, using his body warmth to warm her as he held Sauri

[Sauri Matashina]

She looked at Caine, and then buried against him. "I should have listened...I should have known it was more then just a dream." She Saud softly, and kept tight to him. She dried her cheeks a little and took comfort in him being there with her. Her hair a wild mess of curls down her back she closed her eyes a little, but not all the way. Afraid she would see the terrible visions again.

[Caine]

"Listened to what now?" Caine frowned as he watched her with a solid gaze. He had formed enough of the story to understand however he had not been around for various parts, missing the impact upon Sauri until he had witnessed the consequences first hand.
"You need to stop taking everything on as it being your fault Sauri. Even if you had said something we would never have been ready for such a war." He told her, working with his own ability to induce a calming feel upon Sauri's subconscious, the strategy to ideally effect her in a way which would block the onset of horrific dreams and stabilize the chemical hormones in her system. He had learnt alot more on his mind capabilities when he had left, though only recently had he allowed himself the freedom of mind to use them upon people he cared for. He kept the extent of his ability to himself incase his father ever decided to reappear. he softly glides a hand through her hair soothingly.

[Sauri Matashina]

She sighed softly. "When Daedalus took me away, while I was in his realm he showed me my worst fears and nightmares..." he paused for a breath. "And it happened.." she said, and closed her eyes then. His calming effect a welcome invasion to her subconscious and she even smiled a little. The terrors fading she gives a soft appreciative little moan to him running his fingers through her hair. "I will try. It is just hard for me, because I swore to protect them.." she said softly, but she knew he was right, they weren't helpless, or children..most of, ifnot all were very powerful in their own ways. "I missed you, Caine. Don't leave me anymore.." she whispered.

[Caine]

He tried hard not to snarl at the mention of Daedalus, for hed never exacted the revenge he deemed fit upon the man. It angered him that hed had such an impact on Sauri, a time where Caine could not reach her.
"He was simply showing you what you feared, it wasnt a prediction my love." he commented softly, "i know you promised, but since when did you ever see a war without sacrifice" he explained "even still, growth only comes from sacrifice" he murmers listening to her. he nodded gently
"Never again babe"

[Sauri Matashina]

His words comforted her, and made her feel better. She was glad she had gotten back, and she snuggled closer to Caine. "There is always sacrifice in war, that is what makes it so terrible." She said, having seen so many wars in her life. "You're right, I should focus on making this place home again." She said softly, and smiled then when he told her he wouldn't leave her again. "Good." She said softly, warmer, relaxed and content she gave a soft happy sound. The roses all along her arm and shoulder blooming.

[Caine]

"so i was thinking" Caine murmers as she snuggled against him, grimacing a moment when her hand grazes a tender place onhis chest. he watched the room behind her as he spoke, happy to hold her against him so.
"I was hoping actually that we could start laying plans for a new place, I thought perhaps the arch that remains in the garden coul serve as the piece which connects the old to the new, besides the residents of course. you know..kind of build ourselves a home..somewhere we all call home from the start of its days" he suggests, a proposition which took him to the most opposite of his old self. "I want to build your home sauri" he adds after a moment

[Sauri Matashina]

Her eyes opened a little, and she looked up at him. Amazed and proud. "You, want to rebuild it? Caine that would be amazing! I love the idea of the arch." She said and was almost overwhelmed by emotion. An idea hatched in her head and she smiled bigger. "You don't know how much that means to me."

[Caine]

"Well i thought it would be ideal to build as we start a new chapter in our lives together. Ive shown the plans to your brother, he hasnt got any hastles so the next initial step was to propose the idea to you" he murmers. "Id do anything to make you happy, and i think this is the right time to bring everyone a little closer with this challenge"

[Sauri Matashina]

She wanted to tackle him she was so happy. However she held back because they were all still on the mend. "You, told Ajax? Oh I can only imagine how that conversation went..." She smiled up at him though, and nodded eagerly. "This will be great to bring everyone together. they already seem closer, andththis would make it stronger.." she said, hopeful for the first time since the fight had ended.

[Caine]

"yeah well..." Caine murmered in regards to the comment on their conversation. he immediately decided to change the subject since he would never discussed his run ins with her.
"I think it would give a greater sense of belonging to them if they laid down a few blocks." he nods. He shifted before sitting up, the sheet slipping down to his lower torso as he ran a hand through his hair roughly

[Sauri Matashina]

Sighed and looked at him. She knew they didn't get along the greatest. A smile when he spoke about the rebuild. "I agree..but first we need to clear away the rubble from the old estate.." she said softly, and grinned when the sheet came from his torso. a soft growl escaped her in tease.

[Caine]

"Easily done, Ive contacted an old friend who had a hand in a company with the equipment needed, Ill give a truck company a call at some point to work out transporting the rubble. " he responded to her question. Her growl made him laugh though stopped shortly to catch his breath as he sat upright, the nagging pressure on his chest not such a smart idea.
"We look like Swiss cheese and you want to get frisky?" he jokingly questions, smiling at her flirtatious behavior. He'd missed her smiles as he had missed the quiet moments they had shared together when they had first met.
