History of the Matashina Coven...
In the early 18th century, a regal and before it's time estate home was built. The house represented a position of power and prowess the central country had never seen before. It was built by a man with a vision, and soon it became the focal point of the south. It was one of the largest plantations to have ever been built. Red peppers, cotton, chilies and other vegetables that flourished there became very popular and profitable to the man. His business quickly grew, and he at the height of his prime employed over 400 workers. Some years later he met a woman, and they married. She was deceitful and wicked, poisoning the man and taking control of all of his estate assets and the like. The small town that had grown up around the plantation flourished under the man, but under the female became swiftly corrupt and a hell town.

The cries of twins could be heard within the small house they were born in. Their village rejoiced and they were welcomed with ecstatic revere. Though this time of joy was not to last. They were stolen in the night by a jealous Vampire, and he raised them as his own. Training them, grooming them and he was cruel. When they came of age he sired them into a live of immortality and damnation. They were too different then to return to their village, outcasts by the very man who raised them. His training was brutal, he was cruel and explosive in his tantrums when the twins did not act according to his plans for them. Some years past before they were strong enough to finally revolt and slay their sire, and captor. Ajax and Sauri, were free. They were feared among their village for the deeds they had been forced to do, and the blood of many mortals lie on their hands. Since their freedom Sauri swore to never slay another mortal unless forced by no other option.
She had heard about the plantation, and the woman who ruled the town with an iron fist. Crime and lewd acts being in every alley she tricked the woman into giving her the plantation house, and all it's assets therein. She then sent the woman away, and set to work. She and her brother, being out casted everywhere else they had went, settled into the home. She earned the trust of the mortals who accepted their assistance into making the city a safe and prosperous place to live. The criminals were given to the creatures of the night whom thrived on their lives and tainted ways. The plantation house soon attracted a mass of creatures from all walks of life. Unaccepted and outcasts they were drawn to the estate. Demons, Vampires, Angels, Shadow creatures, and many more had come to call the estate home.
The high council got wind of their treachery and came down on them hard. Their first battle was bloody and long. They came out victorious but not without sacrifice. They were nearly killed in the battle, but in the end came out stronger then ever before. They earned their legendary status from this battle. For word spread quickly of their victory over the high council and many others backed down from their challenges of the twins. Though this peace was not to last. A new and upcoming council had seen much of a threat in the twins and their status. During the second battle, Sauri was mortally wounded, and only the power of the goddesses keeps her alive.....What will become of the city in the aftermath of what is to be the battle of ages?

The Rising of Flames
There was little silence around the Coven Estate as the danger approached. The only sounds were the screams in the distance of unsuspecting humans being burned or slaughtered. Flames of city buildings burning rose high into the sky, the smoke raising up and blocking what light there was left of the moon. It was not long before the flames drew closer to the Coven Estate. Against the bright flames there were figures moving towards the Estate and surrounding it. Before long the only sounds were the crackling of fire until the battle began and the first blood was shed.

Ashes to Ashes
It was at least three days before the battle drew to an end. There were casualties and deaths. Some of the hybrids had found their way to the mountains where they met with several residents of the Coven whom had decided to protect those who were unable to fight. Those who stayed at the Estate were met with a worse fate. Flames took the mansion and all that was inside. On the final day a summer rain began to clear the smoke and show the survivors what had become of their home. The city in ruins and the Estate is a dismal state.
In the short weeks past the horrible events things seemed to be falling back into a routine. The Estate had yet to be repaired or even rebuilt. But the members were working together more than they had ever before. Bodies were still being recovered from the buildings of the city in the aftermath of events. Many were still lost and confused. Perhaps one day soon the sun will truly shine down on the residents of the coven and the city in which they call home.
