Galadriel lay asleep below the stars for yet another night, she roped some tarpaulin between two trees and hunkered down beneath. The tarpaulin was arranged like a cocoon, shielding her from the outside world. She had been asleep for but an hour before her eyes jolted open, her hand reaching out to grab the pistol buried beside her. Noises, footsteps in the distance, the sounds of radios, commands. ''Shit..'' She bolted upright, grabbed the tarpaulin down and buried it in her rucksack before covering any tracks she had left, they had found her. The footsteps grew closer, the vibrations felt at her feet, the heartbeats in her ears and before she could run, there they were, seven soldiers, one cyborg, they had come for her head. Bullets began to fly in her direction, Galadriel's body moved with speed as she flipped and dodged out of their path, one skimmed her stomach, blood leaking through her attire and she raised a hand, three bullets fired at her paused mid flight, turned and flew straight back into the skull of the owner. She bent at the waist, she could feel his pain which meant it was someone she had lived with, someone she had once cared for. No time, no time to find out who as another soldier came at her from the side, removing her visor she shot out acidic rays at his middle, his screams filling the night air as his body melted, the smell of corroding and burning flesh, a scream, she could feel his pain to, could feel the life leaving him. They had done this on purpose, sent those that were once close to her, to weaken her. One more bullet bounced off from the metal of her leg, she ran and jumped to the trigger puller, a round house kick soon found the back of his neck, snapping the bone as it impacted. Another pain she could feel, looking down to his face, her old friend, they were all her old friends.
She tried to run, her speed an advantage here and she bolted from them, she could kill them but to look in their dying or dead eyes after their murder, the murder of her once family, no she could not do that. She ran through the trees, three more bullets, two bounced off of her metal limbs, one struck the flesh of her neck. She ran through the mountains, the forest, her body a blur to all those around her, except for one, the cyborg. He was soon catching up to her, his arm swooping out and knocking her with force from her feet. Her body skidded across the dirt and she turned to see him, the closest person to her in all her life, Drake, her cyborg mentor, he was like a brother to her, in a former life at least. She got to her feet and looked him square in the eyes, ''Drake, don't do this.'' But he didn't listen, he was at her again and she blocked his hits with her own, they moved too quick for a human eye to see but the sound of clanking metal rattled around the forest. He got a hold of her and began to crush, running and crushing, the snapping sounds of her bones, she pummelled her fists into his skull but soon they were falling, falling down the side of the mountains until they crashed below. The impact made Drake release her and she bolted again, he was more powerful than she was and she found herself running into some gardens, a huge old looking building nearby but she didn't care. He caught up with her again, shooting her already bleeding body and she stopped, she could not escape him. She turned her body to face him and watched him come to a halt. They began to move around in a circle, eyes never leaving one another's. Galadriel made the first move, she charged at him, her punches connecting with his human parts, his weaknesses. He returned the favour by doing the same to her but he cheated, he jabbed two injections into her flesh. She did not know what they were but she found her heart pounding, her vision blur, her senses going dim. Her survival instincts kicked in and she used all of what she knew in attacking him, using her powers, her strength, her tactical mind she laid into him in her weakened state, he lost his arm, part of his leg from her onslaught until she found herself looking down into his eyes as she held his neck, ''Drake, I never would have hunted you. Even if they told me to.'' She snapped the bone of his neck, but when she looked down she saw his inbuilt sword rammed into her stomach. Blood spewed out from her mouth and she looked into Drake's dead eyes before she pushed him away, pushing the blade out from her in the process, feeling his pain, his fear filling her very soul. She fell to her knees as a tear trickled down her bloodied cheek, the other soldiers would not find her this night at least but that did not concern her for now. She pushed herself to her feet with a groan and headed towards the mansion, if she did not get some sort of medical attention, she would die here beside her brother. The posion he injected into her was working quickly, her temperature sky rocketed, her veins almost began to pulse at the flesh on her body, she continued on stumbling to find someone to help until she fell over and turned to her back to look at the sky for what may have been her last time.

“Well this sounds promising” his breath misted before his face as the sounds of a rather nasty scuffle caught his attention. “Safe as houses they said, well sounds that fucking way to me doesn't it!?” He shook his head, Tide had been walking for a long time seeing as he readily spoke to himself now it seemed that he had been walking to long. Not to mention his muscles sang with frustrated aching as they begged him relentlessly for a break. He had left before sun set and now it was well into night he figured he was probably pretty over due a break but he had spotted what he could only assume to be the coven when a few miles back and he would be damned if he would have a break before he got there.
The noises brought him cause to pause as it seemed to quiet down, he stood now just with in the darkness of the trees two figures fighting it out until one finally won, didn't look to be much of a victory either she looked as good as dead now. “Should I stay or should I go” the words sung from his lips as he decided going to her was the only 'decent' thing to do.
This time he moved with steady and slow steps, his wits more then about him as he came up beside her looking down on the mess that lay at his feet. “Now what...” He glanced to the building “Bugger” he had searched do long for it, but for all he knew the ones that had attacked her had been from there. For all he knew she was some kind of monster that had been in the wrong through out the whole ordeal but now he looked down upon her broken body he knew it was to late he should have just turned a blind eye, his heart strings were being pinged by guilt. He would have to help her or be haunted by the fact he did not.
“Damn” upon closer inspection he could see the woman was half robot or something “What the fuck do I do with you huh?” Kneeling down he pushed her head from side to side gently so he could check her responses and he decided she still had life within her but probably not a lot.
Scooping his arms underneath her he picked her up to rest against his chest, his strides carrying them faster now away from the coven. He had seen a few cabins not far away and he would use one of those and hope that between his skills and the first aid box he had in his backpack he would be able to salvage something from her. “Don't die now” he muttered to her “You need to tell me where it hurts and what to do, I was never good at playing doctor in school”

Galadiriel blinked a few times as she lay in her own pool of blood looking up to the stars, her breath grew weaker with each intake and she heard the footsteps of another arrive, her senses were dimmed and so for all she knew it was another of the soldiers come to finish the job that Drake could not. She looked up to see a face of an unknown man look down at her, his crystal like eyes looking at her with concern, he was not going to kill her... Human... her robotic computer spoke into her mind accessing his build, height and weight on instinct. He bent and put his hands on her face, turning her head from side to side, she could do nothing to protest in her weakened state and her head did as he commanded, her visor covered eyes remaining fixed on his own. She then found herself cradled against his chest, the warmth and the sound of his steady heartbeat at her ear, a slight comfort in a time of chaos. Her eyes closed, each step he took sent shooting pains throughout her body. His voice got through her ears in muffled sounds and she tried to look up to see him, ''Pois....poison, not the wounds. Need to flush the poison out...'' She managed to say in the soft robotic tones of her voice. She fumbled against him trying to reach around to the pack at her back, she had various antidotes and antibiotics in there that she stole from the army labs, one must have been an antidote to the poison running through her veins, but which one. She stopped fumbling, instead her hands shot up to her head as agony began to burn at her eyes, her skull, the poison was beginning to eat her flesh from the inside out, ''My pack.... the orange antidote...'' She knew what the poison was now and she would need the antidote within ten seconds before she would truly die.

Her weight against his tired muscles made him more aware of her every movement, as she started to speak to him he ducked his head to listen, her words quiet and obviously a strain to her. "Poison... Oh Good" it had just got a whole lot worse he very much doubted he could do anything to help her in that case. "I have no means of flushing..." he frowned as she started to wriggle against him, trying to grab something.. her back pack. "Oh OK, OK" she had something that could help, well that made the stakes change once more and his hopes lifted but only slightly as she started to tense up writhing in what looked like agony against him her hands clutching her skull.
"Orange Right!" he lowered her onto the ground placing her against her side so he had still got access to her back pack, tearing it open his hands fumbled around finding different vials of different colors "Orange..orange fuck sake" he cursed they all seemed to be green or black "Ah hah!" pulling it out he looked at it "Do I inject it?" a vial, would she drink it? he didn't want to make the whole thing pointless. Looking back into the bag he saw a needle and broke it from it's sterile packaging quickly drawing the liquid into it before plunging the needle into some exposed skin in her neck injecting all of it in one go.
Holding his breath he watched her hoping that he hadn't just kicked her the few extra steps to death's door. "Um..." he shook her shoulder lightly throwing the needle to the side. "Lady.. you ok.. well no not Ok.. you alive?"

The man seemed to understand what she had said and Galadriel found herself on her side against the cold night earth, her hands still at her head, the pain increased and blocked out anything outside of the crushing ringing noise vibrating around in her skull, in her head she was screaming but her voice could not project it. Soon she felt a prick in the skin of her neck, the cool liquid filling her burning veins slowly, steadily, the pain growing weaker and weaker as the antidote did it's work, and just in time too. The grip of her hands against her skull began to loosen, her breathing began to become more steady and her heart beat increased from the occasional flutter it had been beating before, it was working.
Hands shook her shoulder and she shot up and to the side as her stomach emptied itself of the poison lurking within her, freeing her of the inevitable death that it would have created. She stood and wiped her mouth before turning to face the one who had saved her life, ''Galadriel, my name is Galadriel. Thank you.'' She said somewhat slowly as she tried to catch her breath. She looked down and her wounds slowly began to knit up, the bullets found their ways out and slid down to the grass at her feet, three in total, not much of an issue for her luckily, she had been shot many times in her existence. The armour she was wearing was damaged and with out a thought she retracted it back under her skin, standing momentarily nude before the man, besides the metal of her arms and legs. She then tried to pull out another armour hidden below her skin but only half of it worked. ''Shit..'' She knew what that meant, she still had something foreign inside of her. Her computer scanned her body and showed her images in the visor of where the foreign object was, a tracking device, it had been shot into her at her neck. She took a deep breath before her hand reached up to her neck, burying into the skin there, her blood dripped down her hands as she searched for the device. Soon her fingers gripped around it and pulled it from her flesh. She threw it to the ground and swiftly cracked the heel of her foot against it so nothing was left but a pile of dust. Now out, the rest of her attire seemed to grow out of nowhere covering her. ''What is your name? I owe a debt to you.''

"Ah alright then" It worked and violently by the look of it as she quickly jumped up, frightening the hell out of him as she threw up a absolutely mixture of God knows what. His nose scrunched up as his head turned away from the sight his hand going to her back to pat it in a useless attempt to make her feel better, He was awful at this kind of thing and he knew it well. "There there..." glancing back from time to time he waited for her to finish before he moved away to stand up a good few steps away from her still keeping in mind that he had no idea, who or what the woman was. Foolish at times though he was not stupid he waited his mind open to most scenarios.
She stood up and basically pushed all the foreign bodies out of herself, her wounds closing. He had heard of such things before and he knew many creatures had healing abilities that did such things but he had never seen it before and couldn't help but gawping a little at all of it, he had thought this would be an adventure but he had not expected it to get off with such a bang. "Woah.. um want a coat or something" naked.... she was naked that he didn't see coming but she didn't seem to care. He did it made him feel like some sort of pervert taking advantage that she was hurt. He turned his back to her. Missing the gruesome sight of her digging something from her neck he could hear it though and cringed.
Not sure if it was safe to turn back he stayed put as she posed her question. "Tide. And you owe me jack shit"

Galadriel's neck wound began to stitch itself up once more with a somewhat sickening sound, once of which she was used to unfortunately. She bent and took a canteen of water from her pack, quickly swigging some and then pouring the rest over herself to wash of the blood and grime. She smiled briefly at the sight of how uncomfortable he seemed, ''Sorry about that, it's ok I'm not naked anymore.'' She laughed a little with that, most men would have gawped but then he had already proven that he was not like most men, at least for now he didn't seem to be anyway. Her armour looked as though it would be soft to touch, it was deceiving in appearance however, black neck to foot, she was covered in her war armour, in case she was going to come under another attack any time soon. Hands went back through her hair with a sigh, still slightly feeling the emotions of the ones she had just killed, they would linger for some time, ''Well thank you Tide, and I owe you my life.'' It wasn't everyday you met a human who would help a stranger in such a way as he had just done. Spying some nearby cabins she began to walk past Tide and towards them, ''You coming? Or do you live over there?'' She tilted her head to indicate the big ass building in the distance.

"Alright then" she seemed amused at his discomfort but he didn't mind he would prefer to treat her the way she deserved in the hopes that she would do the same to him should he ever be in such a situation. Turning around he faced her, it seemed that again she had redressed and he remembered she seemed to grow it, it freaked him out a but at the same time it filled him with questions like -How does she wash it..it must stink- or -does it itch- he decided to ask none of them even though he wanted to.
"Again with the owing" he waved his hands in the air in slight annoyance "You.... Owe....Me....Absolutely.... Nothing" he said it nice, clear and slow. "I don't do things with the thought I might get something in return you understand?" He followed her as she moved towards the cabin and away from him, he decided to keep an eye on her for just a little bit longer she had probably lost a few pints but then again she didn't look human to him so it probably didn't matter. Glancing over his shoulder he looked back at the coven building feeling the want to go there but his head shook anyway saying no. "I don't live there..best go in that cabin" He could always go to the coven another time probably better to go when rested.

Galadriel ignored the belittling slowness of his voice, he was a man, she had lived with men her entire life, she knew exactly what they were like. ''Very well, I owe you nothing. But should you ever need some help, find me.'' She would help him with anything in the future, as long as it did not cross too far over her values anyway. Approaching the cabin she paused and glanced around their surroundings to make sure no others were lurking around nearby, all she could see were a few squirrels and a bear in the distance. She made her way into the middle cabin, placing her pack down and throwing a few logs into the fire. She thought she should look for a lighter so as not to scare him but then she shrugged, she clearly wasn't your average human anyway so what did it matter. Her visor shrunk back below her skull to reveal her white glazed eyes where she then shot a ray of fire onto the logs.
Getting up she sat down in a chair beside it, pulling her pack over and beginning to unpack it, checking over her various weapons, reloading the ones she had recently used and cleaned her knives and counted the remaining viles and medicines, she was thankful she had the initiative to have stole them before she went AWOL. She would let her eyes breath for a while, it had been a long time since she had allowed them to be free from the visor. Leaning back into the chair she fiddled around with her kit and then injected herself with a clear serum, a simple antibiotic to help her fully recover from her injuries. She then glanced around, this place was rather homely and it had been the first time in many weeks that she had slept under something other than tarpaulin, ''But you want to live there, in that building?'' She had sensed that he may have but he still decided to follow her.

Closing the door once Galadriel had looked around and entered he stood with his back to it looking around the cabin as she set to work making a fire. He was much less talkative now inside especially with the heating increasing due to the flames she had lit with her eyes...like that wasn't strange at all.. He folded his arms closing his eyes feeling the drags of sleep calling to him from beneath the closed lids. He knew if he sit down he would fall asleep so for now he chose to stand up, propping himself. "You're handy to have in a cabin. Shooting flames N all" he commented once the fire had grown and she seemed to be moving around less.
"Oh no live there? What that big building. I don't know, I just heard some things about it and I wanted to see for myself. You know how it is?" he shrugged not about to spill his guts to a stranger that he wanted somewhere to belong and learn control. "Why were you there just accident?"

Galadirel packed her things back away within her pack before glancing over to Tide with a small smile, ''Yeah, well you are handy to have around in life or death situations. Anyway, we all have our own abilities, do we not?'' She had no clue as to whether he had any abilities but a part of her guessed that he might have, whether he exposed what they were or not was another matter. She placed her legs onto the table before her, crossing her legs and making herself comfortable, ''Yeah, curiosity right?'' She eyed him up and down a moment, taking in the stranger who knew nothing about her yet saved her, for all he knew she could be the bad one. '' By accident yes, I have been around these parts for a little while but never here until today. I kind of fell off a cliff.'' The fight had pushed her there so yes, it was by chance she happened to be in this particular area. ''You here alone I take it?''

"I guess we do" he could feel her fishing for information but he didn't give her any not fool enough to go serving his cards all at once, he didn't know her and he didn't trust her even though he wanted to he had been burned before with such things but he knew soon enough he would need to sleep so he would have to let his guard down. "Some more then others I guess" he moved from the door pacing back and forth to get his blood pumping enough to wake himself back up a little it, he regretted not taking a break now. "Yeah curiosity. I know it killed the cat but I'm not a cat so I thought fuck it I'd come and see for myself" he grinned at her and her second fishing question he wondered if she was simply curious about him or whether she wanted the information. "Cliff diving is a dangerous sport" he kept light what she had been through not really wanting to remember it himself. "yeah alone, I travel alone"

He was not telling her anything, she shrugged, that was fair enough, she did not particularly care, he was no threat to her, she was merely curious about him as she was of most. Her eyes followed him as he paced, ''Maybe you should get some rest and stop your pacing? You are giving me a headache, and don't worry, I won't bite.'' She said with a devilish grin. ''Good way to think, you should always see or experience something for yourself rather than simply believing what you have been told.'' That kind of mind is what the army did not like from her, one of the reasons she was now their target. She nodded her head with a small smile that did not manage to reach her eyes, ''Yes, dangerous indeed.'' A lick of her lips and she glanced away and back to the flames of the fire. ''As do I, I have found that you can trust no one but yourself.'' She stood and stretched before taking a deep breath and turning, ''I am going to find a shower or something.'' She wandered off, pushing open various doors until disappearing into one and closed it behind her. Turning on the pipes she let the water heat up before removing her armour and stepping beneath, the warmth cascading down her body as she cleaned herself up. Galadriel closed her eyes as images of her old friends, of Drake crossed her mind, they years they had spent together, the training, the friendship, the love, they were her family and in that moment of thought she felt all of their fear once more as she took their lives and bent until she was sitting against the tub of the shower, hands wrapped around her legs as they cradled against her chest, this would be the last time she wept silently for them, not one to show much emotion on such things but her entire life had been ripped apart, how many more of her own would she have to kill?

"Oh because that smirk was reassuring" she was toying with him, well he hoped so anyway as he moved to a battered old wooden bed in the corner, sitting down on it first he rested his back against the wall behind closing his eyes but not sleeping yet. She seemed to be happy to have him around and answer his questions even when he had not answered hers well not properly anyway. "I like to do that, Hear say isnt my thing" he stifled a yawn stretching out to lie down. "Oh alright" she wanted to leave and find somewhere to wash, he didn't much care as soon he would be drifting off into a sleep, one he hoped would cure the aches and pains of over seventeen hours of walking. "Goodnight" mumbled after her into the silence.

After a few moments Galadriel pushed herself up from the floor and finished her shower, shutting the water off she stepped out and wrapped a towel around her, brushing her hair with her fingers, she would find a town tomorrow, somewhere to buy some more supplies and perhaps a hairbrush. Pushing her hair back she tied it with a rubber band and rifled through the medicine cabinet, pulling out some mouthwash and a sealed toothbrush, so someone lived here, best not to stay here too long then, a shame really. She brushed her teeth, gurgled the mouthwash and did all that she needed to do before opening the door and walking back through to find Tide on the bed in the corner. He had his eyes closed and so she walked to her pack and pulled out her more human attire, pulling in on before dropping the towel, she placed her weapons in their straps however, she would never leave herself un kitted in any way, it was ingrained into her. She looked around the cabin once more and came back with a sigh, moving over to the bed, ''There's only one bed, and I'm not sleeping on the floor another night so budge up.'' She laughed finding it highly amusing before laying herself down and putting her back to him, her head resting on the pillow as she was suddenly overcome with tiredness, perhaps it was the sleepless nights she had had for weeks on end or perhaps it was being in someone else's company, she did not know.
