With death on her mind death was what was happening. In the beginning it was birds, in their thousands they dropped from the skies. All shapes all sizes none that crossed her path would live more then 48 hours. Then came the plants, withering into blackness the life sucked out of them and so it progressed. Walking through the forest with eyes coal as the earth Kenshu strode without guilt or remorse for the damage she was causing. Turmoil wrapped around her in an almost impenetrable shield.
Everything was ruined. Everything. There was no going back now, no way to change the things that had happened the bad things that they all had done. And with that realisation came pure and totally consuming hatred so black it crept its way into her very soul, the spirits knew as much, even they kept their silence.

The one person, or creature that maybe was either stubborn or stupid enough to approach someone that was killing things just by being around them was Ventress, and true to form she did just that, using a spell to appear a few feet from Kenshu in a thick black mist, the darkness forming her body and clothes. She stood there, her arms folded, stretching her wings and her thin tail flicking from left to right behind her.
"How are you holding up?"

Death had filled the air before, upon his arrival to the Matashina lands, but this scent was significant to him. Not necessarily a scent, per say, but a feeling. A knot in anyone's stomach of even the hardest of emotionally cold exteriors. Blackblood looked around the forest, pausing in his hunt for wildlife to toy with, and practice his telepathy skill. He heard no voices, nor did he notice anything unnatural around him, that would imply the feeling that had risen in his guts. Dead wildlife was present, still scarred and recovering from whatever wars and events had passed before his time here, and even the natural end of the plant life's cycle. When he'd first noticed this particular and curious feeling of death, he had already been broadcasting a signal from his mind, reaching out to rabbits, deer, bears, or even the spiders that spun their webs along darkened oak trees. He had received a reply, and was on his way to hunt it down, when that feeling sank into his stomach, like an arctic icicle had been stabbed through his midsection.
"Hmmm..."
The vocal noise shattered the silence around him, and a deer had been startled from its walk. It must have been the prey which Blackblood had sought. The young fawn raised its head and galloped over a fallen tree, passing just by the vampire and darting through the maze of trees clustered in the forest. His red eyes watched the deer, as predatory as a lion stalking its meal, and blinked in soft surprise as the deer dropped dead with a heavy thud. The vampire cocked his head, with curiosity piqued, approached the area in which the fawn lay. It took him only moments to reach the corpse, and he knelt beside the beast. A final broadcast to its mind, revealed to him that it died suddenly, and laced around its heart in a thorny grip was the same deathly feeling.
"So it's this way, is it?"
He spoke softly to himself, aloud again, and stepped in the direction that the fawn was facing as its soul passed from this realm to the next. He looked behind him, expecting to see one of his old kindred arriving to meet the animal, and saw only the corpse and a few glow-bugs circling near the brush, matched with the dark shapes of trees. Of course, he would never see them again, being what he is now. With a shake of his head, he continued on, heavy boots snapping twigs and plants as he moved.

Stopping with one foot in the air her head rotated side ways in a eerie and unnatural motion until the black pools stopped searching and looked straight at the looming body of Ventress. She knew she had now been upgraded to The Vixen but nothing like that mattered, not to Kenshu. Not now. Her lips pulled back into a laugh teeth gleaming into the night as a hollow forced giggle left her lungs. "We like puppets on the strings once they have been cut dear wonder of men" she replied her voice toned with the voices of many.
Beside her in one limp hand her index fingers started to rotate around in a twirling motion, the muscles within her arm tensing as her limb rose, trees bending and twisting away from where ever the finger chose to point. "You did not come alone?"

"I'm always alone, kenshu.... and that suits me fine" She said with a light, warm tone, even if that wasn't how she was feeling. "But just because I'm alone does not mean someone else will not be in the areas" She added, not approaching kenshu, if she wanted close company she could easily take the few steps and not feel threatened by an over bearing succubus who has boundary issues. "daton has been found by the way, he is being brought back"

Blackblood stopped, hearing the oddest of sounds. Trees groaned and moaned softly, the noise echoing from somewhere ahead. Trees groaned only when a suppressing force had been pushed against them, and forced the wood to move and bend in directions it did not wish to go. One never hears a tree groaning when passing straight up toward the sun and rain, do they? The vampire hesitated momentarily, knowing he was not at enough strength to take down something or someone. But when did this become about combat? With the splitting questions and thoughts in his mind, he moved forward, just as he did before. Noisily.
Upon coming to a clearing, he paused just before coming into the presence of two women. He only saw the back of one, but the other who seemed to levitate, he could slightly recognize. The facial features were identical, as well as the body build and structure. But the emotions, and the powers, not to mention the insanity, were far different than what he held in his mind. As best he could, he strengthened his mental barrier, to block invaders to his thoughts. If these strangers found out who he was, he failed both himself and his brother. He couldn't afford that.
"Who.. are you?"
The vampire asked, as he stepped from the darkness of the thicket where trees were bending against her force. It would seem as though the shadows generated him into vision, releasing him from their grip as he stepped forward into the pale light of the moon.

"It doesn't suit you fine, you can't lie to us, we know these things" she tutted her other hand rising so she could wag her finger at The Vixen. "Datty, we know Datty is here, alive and kicking is our datty. We are staying away so not to harm his clever little head"
Twisting her body in an un-natural jolty movemet,The black pools of her eyes moved tothe new figure, something about him she knew. Something which seemed a little out of her reach. "Who are we?" She tilted her head her hand staying up pointing straight at him as the trees groaned begging for their lives. "Demanding, it is Ventress. Very demanding. But let me ask it this. Who does it think we are?"

"he doesn't know, not the slightest idea what you are" Ventress said quietly as she folded her arms, defiant and defensive, standing slightly in front of kenshu in a protective manner, even if the woman didn't need protecting. Being some what closer to her now knocked home just how strong she was, this strange powers made her want to recoil away very quickly, but for the moment at least she stood firm, beside her.

"I know that she is in torment, as the rest of these lands and its inhabitants, hidden by porcelain smiles to the public, and only to be released and expressed when thought alone. That is all I need to know. Simply as why I did not ask, what, but who."
Blackblood stated, turning his attention temporarily to Ventress. A hand reached up, and pulled away his sunglasses to reveal blood-red irises, untouched by the sadness of which he spoke, and then turned his attention once more to that of Kenshu. These eyes locked on her a long time before answering, guessing that she could tell when someone lied. Each vampire had their own talents, and he had to be careful where he stepped and what he said, being a stranger to these parts. And that he was already putting feet first into a matter that was not of his concern. But.... Blackblood blinked, and parted his lips as he peeled back the coat so the woman could see his face in whole, allowing her to see that he was trusting her to cause no harm. Such an exposure only treats it so.
"I cannot assume nor think of who you are. I know your face, but I do not know your name. I merely wish to know. Grant me this information, and I will leave you to your sorrow, if that is what you wish."

Her head coiled to look around Ventress and at Blackblood when he spoke, she did not see him as a threat therefore did not move away or any closer even when Ventress placed herself in possible harms way. His face , she narrowed her eyes at his face. She hadn't seen it before yet she knew it, she knew his smell and the way he held himself. She had seen it before. Her own blood line.
"We are Kenshu Death. Who are you?"

Blackblood studied the face Kenshu wore over her muscles and bone. The smallest of twitches and narrowing eyes. Yet the sadness remained, there was other intrigue. Blackblood best thought how to announce his presence to a kindred vampire, that has never been met. A trifling matter. Blackblood kept his eyes locked against the electric hues that almost pierced his mind, almost let her in, even though she had not been trying. He would not snap beneath her pressure, being as stubborn as other kindred, but with good reason. Others did not need to know his lineage just yet.
"You ask the question out of habit, or common manners. You already know who I am, Kenshu Death. I can only fulfill the title of which all who know me by. I am Blackblood."

Both hands dropped to her sides, she stopped pointing a finger of accusation at Ventress and one of threat at Blackblood, yes she knew who he was but she didn't know why he had come here, why he had chosen to stop and ask her name. "Don't assume we know anything Blackblood" she replied the noise audible to both he and Ventress, yet her lips did not move once. "Assumption is dangerous" she released the trees from her grasp the spirits growing louder again causing the clouds above to groan with threat. "Your barriers will not hold me, don't try. We won't look into your head. We don't want to. Not now"

"Assumption is not one of my strongest, because it is not frequent. There is nothing to assume as kindred look to one another. It is a feeling in a vessel that which most think do not exist. If it is not the vessel, it is what keeps that vessel alive. What keeps it going..."
Blackblood placed one foot closer to Kenshu, approaching slowly, and placing his boots much softer ahead of him than what was before. As he came closer to the woman, his shadows instinctively spread around his being, swirling at his feet. They were not protective from her threat, but at the threat that Blackblood himself could not sense anymore. Where as he controlled his shadows, they still bore instincts and thoughts of their own. Slowly, as he made closer approach, stepping on twigs but no longer breaking them, Blackblood reached a hand forward for Kenshu to take, offered, and could be declined should she choose to.
"You will not look into my mind, Kenshu, not now, as you say, but when? In another moment? In another year? Or when you need someone most, and there is no other telepath to convey images with?"
He asked, and lowered his mental barrier. He showed his trust, and hoped to receive hers, if not only a minor fraction of it. Because he was blood, did not mean that he was friendly. Even though he did not mean her harm now, does not mean that she would think he would later. He must secure the fact with her, that he would never hurt her intentionally.

"Thats close enough thank you" Ventress said with a voice full of unfamiliar authority, something which surprised herself as she reached for her stylish wand which look about as long as a shot sword, and had a sharp edge to it, so one could safely assume it had more then just one use. For a few moments she looked up at the sky, then to Kenshu.... she was never going to get used to this woman "I wish Daton was here, at least he'd know what you were thinking"

The pools of her eyes relaxed a little the spirits being pushed to the back of her mind as with the immediate turmoil, though she remained still far from her usual self, anger and hurt still radiating off of her more so then she would usually allow it to. Even with those aspects she laughed not at what BlackBlood was telling her but at what Ventress had just spoken. "Datty isn't allowed in our head Ventress wonderful woman" she grinned her fangs glinting in the moon light. "Never ever ever evvvver" She had looked at her for a short time taking her eyes off Blackblood that in its own proved a very small snippet of hope.
Moving her hand to him she forced a powerful barrier up over herself, his lowered but she didn't care, looking back at him she shook his offered hand. "My brother?"
